Found '68 charger w/70 front clip

I found a '68 charger this morning. Going to look at it, possibly buy it. Has '70 fenders on it, rest of the car is complete I was told. Missing '68 fenders though. No idea whats up w/the car myself, never heard of it till today. If I get it today, anyone interested in trading fenders or? I'm taking my digital camera also. Supposedly needs rust repair as normal he said. Hmmm, theres a lot to be said there. I would consider building another Daytona clone also, depending on the amount of rust on the car. I really don't have the time right now to build a clone like so, we plan on moving within a year or so from here. Last thing I want is a car half torn apart and parts scattered everywhere while moving 3000 miles away. No, I'm not working full time, but I normally buy cars when I'm out of work anyways. I don't have time to look for cars/parts while working!
I still haven't told my wife yet about the Lightning I bought last week!!!!

I seen the charger. It was wrecked in the front a long time ago. He was a trip also. No photos at all. he thought my goal was to advertise the car. I pulled up in a Ford F 250 vs. a Dodge, so he thought I was a bullshitter from the get go due to a non Dodge driving person, he freakin' said that even to me! Yeah, he's a few sandwich's short of a picnic. Car is red w/black int.
He wants 6 grand also. I told him its worth 35 hun tops. Front susp. has to be tweaked, fenders don't line up nor the hood. Not out of adjustment either, tweaked inner structure/frame rails. Fenders are very good and hood, '70 grille and bumper are perfect also. Trunk rot, lower rear quarters also. Back window was silicone in as well, no mouldings what so ever.
I gave him my phone number again just in case. 318 car also, auto on the column. But has a 383 in it now, not running. Best part was when he said he owned 4 recently, sold them all but this charger till now. He showed me photos of the other cars. One of the '69's he had was mine years ago. He said he sold it to a guy a DOH charger out of it. It is now in the Netherlands, it was a white w/a black top '69.

I have a '68 & a '70 nose that I just haven't installed yet.

IMHO a slightly tweaked unibody is more easily fixed than a heavily rusted one.  Especially if the tweak is in the front end and not the roof/quarters.


You might be able to really chew down the price of the sale with it.  Try to clearly point out how it's visibly bent and make a big deal out of the issue.
