The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Absolutely, it's one of my favorites. ;D  I'm just pissed I didn't actually think to make it.

I hear that! Since December 1st  we have had some form of winter storm every week except one weekend in January. The ground has been clear for like 3 days total since. Every week it gets warm 50-70 for a few days and then down to 20 and a storm hits. I am fed up with winter this year.

Then there's Minnesota. The Yahoo headlines today said the old record of -37 degrees was broken by a low of -40 degrees. Brrr.

Yup, I hate the winters. Why it was at least 74 this morning. Last Sunday morning, while I was pulling the charger out of the garage to go to a car show, the weather man said it was 75 outside but I'd swear it was more like 72.  :eek2: I mean, it was so cold I couldn't even turn on the cars A/C. I had to drive around in that sunshine with the windows open  ::) Not easy when the wind was kicking up to around 15 mph gusts. Hard to keep''er steady in that. :bawling:  The only good thing was that at least my shorts weren't sticking to the hot vinyl

Not getting any better anytime soon either, Forecast calls for a cold front tonight with possible rain and a high tomorrow of only 70 if we're lucky. :ohhthesarcasm: Have to wait til Friday again to take the car out for a spin. Oh well, I guess I'll have to change the oil on Saturday Morn.  :scratchchin:

Actually hasn't been too bad here in Indiana this winter as far as "snow" fall is concerned. Don't think I've had to shovel the driveway more than 3 times so far this winter. Which isn't too bad consdiering most years its much more than that. Every time they call for 4"-8" of snow this year, we wind up with 1" or less. Hope it keeps up, because I hate shoveling it.

That it.  I am taking a picture of my driveway just for you......SILLY AROUND HERE...... I have 4-5foot snow banks in the drive. :flame:

I hate the cold and my charger decided to get mad at me today. Im getting rid of my 67 T-Bird project and until then the charger has been sitting on the street...well it told me today how much it hates snow. First, the driver side lock decides it wants to crap out on me. Get in through the passenger side and start her up. Put on the heat, and well...blower decides it dosent want to work (maybe bad switch?, fuse is fine)..so fine, no heat...i only have to  move it around the corner to the front of my driveway. Put it in gear and, it stalls (great)..go to start it again and nada...fiddle with the positive cable, go to start it again, still nothing. So now its freezing out and im in a hoodie, this was only supposed to take 10 min. Remove the cable, clean up the terminals and finally get her started. Well now im cold, wet, and the roads are covered in ice. Finally got around the corner and park the car. Think she was doing this  :nana: the whole time while i was  :brickwall:

Yeah that is about it, maybe 1" of snow on the ground covered in a layer of probably 1/4" of ice right now. They have called for snow amounts from 4"-15" in one day this winter, and I don't think the total snow fall has been 6" yet this year. Its crazy. Then again I don't buy the whole "global warming" thing either as we have had record colds this year on many days, just no precipitation to speak of. I like it when there are snow banks on the side of my driveway though. That means I can take my son out snow sledding, something we have only done 1 time this year.

Aww C'mon... The snow is fun! Go out and enjoy it!

I would go out and enjoy it if we had snow on the ground instead of 1" of snow and 1/4" of ice on to of it. Can't even make a snow ball to throw at my son let along take him sledding.

It's starting to warm up here a little. Actually got up to 53 degrees Fahrenheit. But there's still snow on the ground.

Yep. The great Northwest. Road salt is not used. It'll snow like hell until theres packed snow an ice on the road. Then it will warm up just above freezing and rain on top of it and well, you can just imagine how slippery that gets.

Exactly.

Here are my two playing on the pile of snow in the middle of the cul de sac made by the plow.

The pile is now bigger, and with the snow we continue to get, it'll get bigger still!

I hate the snow and ice. Half inch of either and my mustang turns into a sled, a very slow sled.

I am enjoying the mild Indianapolis winters. This is my 2nd winter here and like the lack of snow, warm breaks that hit every few weeks. Its like February is the worst of it all, and even that isn't bad. The people just need to realize that ice means take it slow.

Welcome to suburbia, where they cut down all the trees and name the streets after them!   :eek2:

As far as the homes being close together, something you have to live with unless you want to head out to the country (which we considered) or to the old part of town where the lots are huge and the prices start at around $2,000,000.00 for 2000 ft sq.   :shruggy:

This street, a cul de sac with about 18 homes, has 26 children under the age of 10.  They all get along and play well in the common playground in the middle of the court.  There is no traffic as the only people that drive on the street are the ones that live there and they are mindful of the young children.  Believe it or not, we are very fortunate to live here.

With regards to jumping from one to roof to another, I've never needed to do that and probably never will.  While I am sure married couples yell at each other in our neighbourhood, we never hear or see it as this is not a trailer park where the fights end up on the lawn with clothes being tossed out and some fella in a wife-beater undershirt getting hauled away by the cops.   :rotz:
