Ok class, homework for the day. Go up to the top of the page and use the "Search" to find more information. Really, try it! Somewhere you'll find that this car belongs to another member. You'll also learn the entire history of the car if you look hard enough.

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

yea I love it this way. Much better that orig {except $ wise now days} with all the pepole wanting Chargers for the $ instead of the love for them. I bought this car from orig owner as he was selling the engine in early 80s and hauling the car to scrap yard as it was not worth anything then. He wanted $500. for it complete or $25.00 for body only. I originally only built it to run in the woods but it drove to good so I use it for both for many years. If I had it too do over yes I would have bought it complete and sold it a year or so ago but that would have been for the 4 not the love of the car. I love the car this way. If you get stuck in the snow just let me know I can pull you out in my 69 charger  :smilielol:

Look at where the shifter is in relation to the driver....

Charger-Bodie

I personally would not do that to a Charger, but I think Its cool that the owner (sunroofsuperbird) did. He made the car his own long before it became "In-vogue" To be a Charger owner.  :2thumbs:
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

IMO
I think it's (they're) cool... NOW that's what I call a General Lee!!
IMO
I think you'd have to admire anyone who can construct and maintain such a fleet of modified cars and they're drivers, he has fun building and driving them... I think they're alot more fun then some of the trailor/garage queens that might win awards when rolled off the ramp or if ever finished...
Hell I even like his posts, they're really funny! Im glad your in it for the fun and not the 4.  :2thumbs:

Allways have loved the Chally station wagon since i first saw in in a magazine in the '80s...

IMO

I love the car this way.

No offense, but if you "love" the car that way, and are not in it for the money, then why is it on ebay all the time? Also, I question why you even have these auctions. It's obvious it will never sell for the 55K you have listed. Are you just listing it so you get a reaction out of people, or do you really want to sell? :shruggy:

you made jalopnik third item down,.. (as of now)..

Once again Marty's talent is unappreciated. I learned, especially from being on line here, negative response to another members car just isn't cool. The Challenger wagon, if I had the cash, I'd buy it. No, I don't like the DOH charger color scheme what so ever, its ridiculous IMO. But nothing a paint job couldn't take care of. For those of you that are building a DOH clone, think about it for a second, like your all high and mighty. The guy just built a very large house, maybe thats a reason for the cars being up for sale. They are not always on ebay either like stated, gees people.

Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

It's a definite head-turner... drive it through Mississippi sometime and you'll probably get a good fan-base going.  :2thumbs:

In the ad you mentioned it is in a registry... which one of these:

Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

i'd drive the hell out of it!
So would I, I've loved that thing since the first time I saw it! :boogie: If I drove that thing around here, I bet I could actually make people crash from rubbernecking. :smilielol:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

To each his own.  I'd rather see a Charger on 4x4 wheels and surviving.

Sure beats seeing it rotting away in some redneck's yard for 15 years with a Barrett-Jackson price written on the windshield.

True, as this one was on its way to the scrap yard, it very well could have been melted down and be driving around as a Honda or other.   HOWEVER, it still survives.  It is his car do do what he wishes to......people get so worrried what people do to their own cars.......I think its just fine like it is.

Marty is a good guy and was more than happy to let me check out his stable of cool rides when I bought a '70 charger hood from him. You can criticize the car all you want but the funny thing is that Id much rather see it like that than rusting or rotting away. I hear people that say things like that all the time- "Like I'd never done the car that way" . Well 9 times out of 10 people like that dont know the story behind the car. Sometimes different routes are taken on the cars because they are to far gone for restoration.  At least Marty's GL doesnt look like everyone elses  :nana:  It's good for everyone to have an opinion, but I thought we were here to enjoy each others cars not diss them...I'd drive the hell out of it!
"Remember when I said this car was death proof? Well that wasnt' a lie-this car is 100%death proof- only to get the benefit of it honey you really need to be sitting in my seat"...

Sunroofsuperbird saved that car from the crusher. If I remember correctly, the frame or something was rusty. I'd rather see it turned into a 4X4 then be crushed :Twocents:

It's true that a members car should not be dissed simply because another person doesn't like it. However, this particular car is on ebay, which to me, makes it open to whatever opinions anyone feels like having. If I put my car on ebay, I would expect people to give me their honest opinions (good or bad).  :Twocents:
