Sad to hear. He was/is one of my favorites for sure. I liked him in "Popeye Doyle" and in the "Seaquest" series.

Sad to hear. I grew up watching him and other actors of the 70's. You remember them as they look in that picture and dont really think about it but a lot of them are getting old.

RIP Roy.  He was a good actor.  My favorite line of his in Jaws is when he sees the shark close for the first time and says, "Your gonna need a bigger boat."   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OnaZ8r3p8g   :smilielol:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

RIP.

Weird.  He was middle-aged before I was born but I've still never though of him as being very old.

He really made "Jaws" a better show.  It would have weakened the movie a lot if Brody had been some big-name Hollywood figure.

For what it tried to be, I think Speilberg's JAWS is one of the most perfect movies ever made.  Nobody is ever gonna make a "monster hunts the innocent townspeople" movie any better than that.  I don't care if they try to copy it for another 50 years.

A bit part in The Punisher as well, he didn't look that old to me as that movie was just a few years ago. As far a losing an old actor...were are the replacements that are as good that is?

I read this too, it sucks. One of my favorite roles he had played was in "The Seven Ups" & had always thought it had one of the better car chases.
