I have to go to San Diego this Monday, because my Mum had a stroke.
She went for heart surgery to replace a heart valve, and she had it while in recovery.

Now unable to walk or talk, she is facing a long road of therapy.

The old home that I grew up in is in need of a new air system. My cousin, who owns his own electrical business,
will help with the wiring.

A new furnace, air unit and ducked work is a must for healthier environment for my elderly parants.

Most of my projects, Charger included, is on hold here.

Only good part is Winter is over for me!  ;D

That's a bummer. Sounds to me like the heart surgery broke something loose that caused the stroke.

I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

Something of the sort happened to me in '99 when my dad's condition deteriorated due to the onset of Parkinson's disease.
I stopped working on the car/s and quit my band and took car of him for the next six years.
My life has changed alot in eight years.

Thanks guys

I think the Dr. said blood clots, because after surgery she was having lung and kidneys problems, and had to stay in a drug induced sleep for 10 days. I don't know every detail but it probably shorted her life by years.
My dad has Alzheimers, so not much help there. My sister lives there with her 3 kids, and she is without a job.
Social Security, Medicare, workmans comp, is all the help they have and it ain't much.

It's the perfect storm, no long term health insurance too. They have a living will but I don't know where it is.
Bills have to be paid, taxes, insurance; Mother took care of all it, and I told her last year to get documents on where everything is.
There cars and house are trashed, because I use to do it, but I haven't been back there since 2006.

I am getting a living will set up for myself so there will be know question on what has to be done.

I was thinking blood clots but didn't say it. Didn't want to get too specific in case it was a sensitive topic. Since I found out that I have blood clots I wonder how many people are walking around with them and don't even know it.

It's got to be a pain for your family to have to deal with all this. No matter how prepared people think they are there's always something that gets left out. My parents planned for over a year for my dad's death and they had only scratched the surface of what all there was to do. He died out of state too and that added to the chaos. It's a big hassle no matter what.

Stuff like that is always a tough deal. It's good that you're able to step in & help out, not all elderly folks are that lucky.
I hope your Mom is able to make a speedy recovery.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Thanks for all the kind words, I appreciate it.
