One HAPPY Fat boy who is REALLY glad to be getting closer to having a big block cruiser again!!!!!!!!!!   :icon_smile_big: :icon_smile_big:

Unfortunately every rose has its thorn! The taillight got a fracture today. Just one of those things. It wasn't perfect, but it wasn't BROKEN either.

O DO have the pieces, any way to glue it back together?

Glad the site is working again, I couldn't respond earlier..
Anyhow, The BB looks great in there and sorry about the rear lens, perhaps they'll be rebopped soon,  i don't wanna think about how hard they are to fix. let alone replace... and BTW you can edit your posts by clicking the modify button........             ..up there ^
Ain't that how it goes though fixing these old beasts, seems for everything I fixed, at least two things would break...  :-\
I don't think I've seen that finish on valve covers before, Do that yourself?.. looks great!  :yesnod:

Yeah but if you modify, you have to reload the pics and it's s pain in the rear!

The valve covers and the air cleaner (I'm using the Mopar unsilenced one- standard on 68-69 Chargers and Road Runners) are wrinkle finish. I shot them in the summer and then turned the heat gun on them!  Heat is a big factor to getting that stuff to work right. Hemi Valve covers were finished that way from the factory.

I want a set of the Mopar black wrinkle aluminum ones but the 110 bucks is better spent somewhere else right now. I've gotten where I kinda like them that way, and if they fade to that chalky gray, all you have to do, as long as the wrinkle looks is still good, is to light coat them with satin black from a  rattle can.

I'm putting a red "440 Magnum" Pie tin on it as well. My goal is as I do the suspension, is to add disc brakes, the big Hemi/440 Torsion bars and springs and get the old car up to snuff as I go.I also want to tie the framerails together and add bigger sway bars.

It may have a 66 bodyshell, but it will be Charger R/T underneath. Future plans are for a set of big and little Torq Thrust wheels and the 67 RO/WO hood scoop (think "Big Sugar" in dark green) and the rear spoiler IF I can afford one.
