How To Repair a Fiberglass hood?

Ok Here it gose, I got a new fiberglass hood made with a challanger scoop on it. I think some of you may rember it. Well I was comeing home from San Antono to Houston with some of my 07 charger buddys and they decied to see what they can do, and of course I wanted to play to, so I cought up and according to my new tack and the Kesler web site I was doing 154mph whe my hood broke in hafe!!! I broke stright acrosse the hood where the front hood pins hold the hood down. 

Anyway of course the company who make the hood wont help so I will have to do it my self.

Im not to new to body work but I need some advice. Body shop say dich hood buy a new metal one and be happy which I wont be.

I have the oragnal hood which has a very usable underside frameing. Do I cut the bottom supports off the factory hood and glue it to the fiberglass hood, the fiber over it >  If so what glue do I use? WhAT FIBERGLASS DO i USE? THE MAT WITH harderner? Or the citty hair bondo?   

What type of fiberglass do I use on the top side? The hood did not sperate, just broke up at a 90, Its currently flat with my fav ducktape holding it down, Where it broke it dose noit look like I thought I was exspecting to see strans of fiberglass, not what looks like drywall. .

No undershots, I haven't lifted up the hood yet.  I can say when it broke / poped up , I took a few mins to slow down and I actully drove for 5 min at 60 to get to a off ramp with the hood bent up in the front. So its still connected.  Before shot.  Thanks for any help. Mike  These are my two babes!!!!

I think I would put the steel hood back on or drive a little slower.

i would really like to help if i can  i work in a fiberglass shop for a living. first thing is pics of the under side. dont gut the underside of your original hood. the top of that glass hood can be fixed just by using bondo or similar product. the under side will have to be glassed. unfortunatly if you dont know anything about glass it will be dificult to repair. get back to me i will any way i can my e-mail is r73mopar@yahoo.com
