Drifting is no stupider than drag racing, or NASCAR, or anything else we do with cars that destroys tires & burns gasoline. 



We musclecar guys took the classic teenage stoplight race and turned it into a huge, evolved, expensive, thousandths-of-a-second motorsport.

The import guys took the classic teenage sideways fishtail and turned it into a huge, evolved, expensive, thousandths-of-a-second motorsport. 


It's not really that much different in principle.

I wondered why he had the nose off until I saw the SOLO course.
Why slow down for that last turn when I can just whip around here & punch it!!!!!!!!!
Cool car.  I wish the back was a little higher - it looks to be squating down.
