The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I bet it cost more to get that truck out of there, than that truck is worth.

That guy who drove that truck on thin ice is sharper than a bowling ball.  :smilielol: Wait until the environmental wacko's hear about this.

But, but...wouldn't someone have to swim down there to get the license number? :icon_smile_tongue:

I want to know how the winch was secured to the ice pockets they made?  Did they drop and anchor down those holes and then let the chain wedge itself into the "V" of the ice?

I was on a tow call for my Dad one time and i had to get creative like that once to get the UPS man out of a ditch.  I had a block and tackle and help from a big oak tree!

I wondered that too. I really thought the next pic would show a big hunk of ice that had ripped loose, sending the chain flying.
Judging from the thickness of the ice, it seems that the truck may have been there for a while...maybe a month or so. Long enough for the ice to get thick enough to assure the recovery stuff wouldn't break through as they brought the truck up.

they probably lowered a pad down throught that triangle "on end" and then pulled the pad up flat against the ice.

My mechanic told me, "I couldn't fix your brakes, but don't worry I made your horn louder."

They're are two triangle cuts,I'll bet the diver looped it around then back to the winch.
