Happy Birthday Rack - mine was this past Wednesday.

I was at the butcher and saw a prime rib roast with no cap on it and asked him if he would slice it in three for me - no problem!

Seasoned slightly and cooked to perfection (I was kinda surprised and pleased), served with mushrooms, onions, potatoes and a salad.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Now that looks good.  :drool5:    Happy late birthday to you.    Chuck...........

Happy belated B-day.
Man, I can almost smell that from here...suddenly, I'm hungry! :drool5:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I'd rather have a hamburger then a steak. I never was big on steaks. Actually, I prefer chicken & turkey over red meat.

Back N Black

Hey Mike, you should not have any problem getting steak, your father in law owns a farm. Not only did you get the farmers daughter, you also got a place to restore your Charger and all the steak you can eat.  :nana:

Thanks Mike.  Its  8 AM here in Jersey now and I am craving steak already. :drool5:  To make matters worse, there is a new Outback (my fav place to be) that is going to be opening up almost right across the street from my current apartment.  It seems like they are taking forever to open the doors.   :brickwall:

Thanks for the B-day wishes!

The family farm is a dairy farm and yes, we get plenty of meat for free when a cow is butchered however the meat from a dairy cow is not as good as meat from beef cattle.  Our freezer is full of meat, all kinds, but every so often I'll go to the butcher and get a bunch of Angus or Prime beef to stash in the freezer.  I found two other butchers within an hour of my house that specialize in different meats.  One guy deals mostly in pork and supplies all the meat that I cook on my smoker and the other one has dry aged beef, something that is not done too often and something i'd like to learn more about.

I really did score when I found Lori way back when she was, 21 110lbs, with blonde hair and blue eyes.  We were together for years before I realized how lucky I was to have access to the farm and all of its bonus features like free reign of the property, machinery and tools.  When I got the go ahead to move the car into the shop I figured they must like me.

Now, as far as steak first thing in the AM - as you can guess my wife and the two children couldn't finish their steak or potatoes so steak and eggs with homefries and some toast sounds like a good start to the day.

I made my bean bake for dinner last night but it looks like you had it much better than I did.

Ah Prime Rib, my all time favorite meal.

Although I prefer mine to be Medium RARE. Seems the longer you cook it, the less flavor that they have. Unless you season them a ton.

Looks good, makes me wanna make a trip to the butcher today and stock up the freezer again.
