You're getting rid of it? :shruggy:

"I've got a 1971 GTX I'm thinking about selling or trading. Bought this car very recently, but have since had second thoughts. Turned out to be not really what I was looking for, so I'm exploring the possibility of a trade.

It's an original U-code auto. Now has 6 BBL installed. Don't know the specifics on the motor, but it's obviously got a good cam in it (nice lope). Has headers and X-pipe exhaust as well.

Numbers matching, but no broadcast sheet.

Has some bubbles in an older repaint, and some dings &scratches, but otherwise solid. One patch in LH quarter. Nice driver quality or easy resto.

Very low option. Manual steering and drum brakes. Obviously, a unique color combination as well (TX9 w/GB5 interior).

Runs good and drives nice.

I'd like to trade down or even for a 71 or 72 Road Runner. I have a strong preference for a 4 speed and Air Grabber. Must be an attractive color combination (nothing too weird or earth-toned). No column shift or bench seat. Numbers matching NOT important.

Looking to trade even or down.

Maybe.

I really don't consider it to be a keeper. Like the ad says, turned out not to be really what I wanted.

I'm going to play around with it in the interim. She'll do for now.

Damn that car looks fast just sitting there. My friend has a rare '72 like so, his is a GTX 440 4 speed. Not sure how many were built, but he doesn't drive it much anymore for that reason. Wish I had the funds to grab the runner/gtx. Good luck w/your next ride.

Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

Sounds good too.

Switching out the 14" Rallyes for the 17" Telstars made a world of difference. Just about everybody I consulted advised me against the Telstars. I think I proved them all wrong.

If/when I do sell or trade the car, I'm keeping the wheels.

Unfortunately, the paint and body work is 10-20 ft quality, which on a black car is tough to deal with. I'm going to break out the 1200 wet-or-dry and the buffer and see I've I can't improve things. Unfortunately, that won't take out the waves.

I'm fixing a few minor electrical issues now.

I've got a set of front disc brakes for it, but I'm debating whether or not to go to the trouble if the car won't be sticking around. I'll be making that decision this weekend.

I'd leave them off until you decide unless you think it'll improve the selling price of the car enough to pay for them.

I have a strange feeling here...... :scratchchin:
..........you gonna end up just buying a 69 Charger again   :yesnod:
Greetings from Belgium, the beer country

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

Yeah. It's a dilema. It really stops like sh!t right now though, and desparately needs an alignment.

You might be on to something.  :scratchchin:

Nah. Even though these third gen GTXs have given me fits, they've definitely grown on me.

I'll never say never, but I won't be hunting for another Charger anytime soon.

Now if a smoking deal falls out of the sky and lands in my lap, I won't hestitate to take advantage.

Quit driving so stupid fast all the time.  You're always on the ragged edge of control and you really need to learn how to relax and enjoy the ride.
