If you look closely that car is about as good as it gets....try restring one for that price. Crap, i'll have double (what Mike's asking) in mine and it's not a numbers matching 340 e-body....just a hot rodded b-body.

I totally agree. I am surprised he still has it at that price. If this was a couple years ago I bet it would have been snatched up as soon as he advertised it.

I actually thought about buying it back , for about 10 seconds. A little piece of me misses it. But having a car to do and no cash flow does not make a new car purchase go good. Besides I'll be on the hunt for a diesel megacab either later this year or early next

My wish list includes (pretty much in order of importance):
·   Bucket seats/décor group
·   No green, B5 blue (except maybe with white interior), or "earth tone" colors.
·   Air Grabber
·   4 Speed
·   340-powered

I'd probably compromise on any single one of those items (other than buckets). Looking for a very nice, affordably priced, rust-free, driver-quality car.

I've actually been in contact with the seller on the black/blue car. That car likely exceeds my budget target, but not by much. I might be in the hunt.

The V-code cars are WAY over my budget. The Green one exceeds my budget as well, and is a LONG way from home. The 340-4spd car is sold.

Fact is, I've pretty much got the internet resources covered. If it's listed on the internet, I've probably screened it already.

I've been on the phone every night chasing leads and networking.

The big break will likely come via word of mouth. If you've got a buddy with a nice 71 or 72 Plymouth that might be interested in selling, hook us up.

Let's just say mid to high twenties for the right car that's ready to roll. That budget includes transport and taxes.

That said, I'd prefer to spend less. The only real requirement is that it must be rust free. I don't mind potentially having to shoot a coat of paint, but no bondo buggies or rust buckets.

I would have preferred a 4-speed. With the exception of one 72 340 Road Runner though (which came-up $88 short on  ), all 4 speed cars I found were bench seat cars. Good 4 speed car are just real hard to find.

I don't foresee this car getting a stick. My current daily driver is a stick, and that pretty much satisfies my shift-for-yourself-jones. It's not in the budget anyway.

It will get power steering and disc brakes almost immediately. That white stripe will probably get deleted as well. It's not coded for it, and I think it will look better without it.

Down the road a bit further, it will probably get A/C.

Ultimately, it will get an Air Grabber hood, 'cause that will just look evil. 

And if (God forbid) I blow up the 440, it will get a rip snortin' stroker motor.

Got the car home Saturday evening after driving 1980 miles in 49 hours.

Trip was long, but largely uneventful.

Car turns out to be a little less than advertised, but not bad by any means. It's the kind of situation I have come to expect when shopping for a car online. My expectations were adjusted accordingly.

Haven't done much with it yet. It has pretty much sat in the garage since Saturday. I've got a fairly extensive to-do list that I will attack in the coming weeks, including installation of disc brakes, new wheels & tires, and some sanding & buffing. After that, I'll do the big unveiling and post a bunch of pictures.

Thanks guys.  My reasoning for selling may have just fell apart after this weekend. 


471_Magnum, cool ride.  My buddy had a '69 RR painted up in those colors that I really liked.  He ended up trading with Stu from Moparts.  I never used to like that generation b body but they've really started growing on me.
