how to tell how old a welder is?

Finally after a year long quest for a welder I picked one up today.
Its a used Lincoln SP135 Plus, I'm just wondering if I can find out when it was built by the serial# or model#?
I searched Google but no luck.

You can call a welding supply shop that handles Lincoln and give them the serial number. They can look it up.
