Thought this might be interesting with all the different opinions. I've lived in Texas all my life and love this darn state . If I ever left it i'd think i'd go to California. I dont know if its because of the atmosphere or the women , i've always liked it for some reason  :D

Some where when I take a pic of my car there is nothing but green grass & mountains in the background.   wide open space.....dont have any of that here.

Either there or Florida ;)

St. Augustine, Florida would be my choice in the winter months(lived there back in the '80's) and northern Wisconsin on a nice size lake during the rest of the year.

If I had to chose just one...probably Florida.

If I didn't have to worry about money, I'd like to go somewhere along the Virginia/West Virginia line. I love the country and all that scenery...I'm just a "hick" at heart.  :yesnod: I moved away from West Virginia when I was 6 wks old but I always enjoy going back and visiting relatives. I keep teasing my wife that when I retire for good, we're buying enough land in the hills so I can ride my dirt bike in the first half of the day and then sit by my still the second half of the day!

The California foothills: Green hillsides, beautiful pines and oaks everywhere, within an hour of any type of outdoor recreation you can imagine - snow skiing, water skiing, hiking, camping, fishing, mtn biking, etc. 70's and 80's in the spring and summer (rarely the 90's if ever), a couple of summer showers per year, summer nights in the 60's and low 70's...you could comfortably sleep out on your deck under the stars from April to August if you wanted to. Lakes are literally in your backyard, rivers that are warm enough to swim in...Imagine 300 rafts meandering down a lazy river   - tanned bikini clad bodies and beer as far as the eye can see. A little snow in the winter, ski resorts an hour away - ski bunnies on the slopes and in the lodges... Able to drive your car at least 300 days a year ...usually more. Sacramento an hour southwest, Tahoe an hour northeast, Reno right past Tahoe...casinos and yes, more betty's. Hot August Nights, Street Vibrations, West Coast Nationals, Sacramento Autorama, Good Guys events, car shows and cruises start in February and go all the way to October. Blues festivals, Bass competitions, Mtn Bike races, Sac Raceway, Reno Air Races, Dirt Bike Racing, ...the list goes on and on... I'm living in one of the most beautiful and desired locatons on the planet. We have people living here who have traveled the world and say there is no place like this, and I believe them.
Life is a highway...

Somewhere in Texas, Florida, or Hawaii.  I hate winter.

Even though I was born and have been raised in Minnesota I absouletely HATE the snow and cold. So, I would like to live down in the Sarasota, FL area. I've got family there and travel down frequently. I just really love it there, I don't know why I just do.

I'm am sick of living in Wisconsin. I wanna move. I love the summers here, but I am just plain sick of the 40 degree and colder weather, and this state is getting crazy high priced on everything from gas to the cost of living. And I mean more so then other states. We already have the 3rd highest gas prices in america. Being I used to drive semi over the road, I been in all 48 states at one time. I wanna live where there are mountains. I would love to live in the western side South Carolina or North Carolina. Although, I also thought about Washinton state somewhere in the mid section. Ironically though, I like Georgia too. I could handle living in the north eastern side of the state. My problem is that I have don't know anyone in any of those states to help me relocate. To help find a place to live til I find a job and stuff. And to just have the money to support my self til I get a job would be tough.   :-\

I wouldn't mind living in Brazil or England either.

I like it right here, but there's a house down the street with 3 barns & a HUGE garage I wouldn't mind having. Except everything is that rubbermaid drain board blue color.  ::)

I would stay here in KY. I would love to have about 100 acres out in the middle of nowhere. Unfortunately I don't want to be that far away from my kids. I will stay here in Lexington for now. It's a pretty good place to live.

Mopar440+6

If I ever leave PA Ill most likely stay somewhere within the fourstate region (WVA, VA, MD, PA). What can I say, I was born in West Virginia, I love livin back in the boondocks...

Plus, Aborigine music is awesome.

In any case, I would have to say my ideal place would be where I can wake up in the morning, walk to the deli and pick up a REAL bagel for breakfast, then maybe have lunch at a midlle eastern joint and grab some Vietnamese or Thai for dinner.

Every once in a while, I want to get my hair cut by a REAL Italian barber and then grab a midnight snack at any one of the roach coaches or restaurants that sell late night food.

I want a place where the arts are well funded so I can hit the theater, opera, or just a good art gallery.

I want to fall asleep to the sound of sirens.

I want to live in the big city.
I ain't got time for pain, the only pain I got time for is the pain i put on fools how don't know what time it is.

I'd dearly love just to be able to afford to live in my garage and wrench on the vehicles. That would be every bit as good as any place on the Earth to me. The going to work to pay the bills and not having the money to afford the parts to remain in the garage is the part I'd like to correct. :icon_smile_big:
