My mom is a realtor so this event really hit home. Its weird, my mom was showing a house around the same time this woman was murdered.  :'(

VICTORIA — Police have no suspects and were releasing few details Monday in the killing of a 24-year-old real estate agent who was found dead in a vacant house she was trying to sell.

"We don't know who caused this death and we may not know for some time," said Saanich police Const. Brad Brajcich.

Detectives have interviewed "numerous people" but Brajcich said they have no suspects. "We will be conducting a forensic autopsy . . . and we're hoping that autopsy will help us in our investigation to determine her cause of death."

The body of Lindsay Buziak was found in an empty home in the bedroom community of Gordon Head around 6 p.m. Saturday.

She was an agent with Re/Max Camosun, and had been called by someone to show the $964,900 house that evening. Colleagues in the real estate community have said she had a bad feeling about the appointment.

The two primary real estate agents who shared the listing had not been called to show the home. Police received a 911 call asking them to go to the house, but will not say who it came from or what the person said. Police are taking "a close look" at the call, said Brajcich.

"Right now we don't have any information to say this was a random or targeted incident," said Brajcich. "We're investigating this right now as a single incident where a young lady ... who was well liked by her friends and family, was found deceased. . . That's what we're investigating at this time."

Friends and family are remembering Buziak as a beautiful, hard-working real estate agent.

By late Monday afternoon, 777 friends had joined a Facebook group called "In Loving Memory of Lindsay Buziak."

Many remember Buziak as a loving, caring, happy friend. They also express their shock and outrage at the violent crime that took her young life.

Buziak's father Jeff, who flew to Victoria from Calgary last night, is not surprised so many people have expressed sorrow over their loss on the Facebook website.

"I think it's evident she was well loved by a lot of people," said her heartbroken father. "And everybody wants to know what the hell happened. So we only want to hear information concerning that."

Jeff Buziak said the family is cooperating in every way they can. "I have to have my full faith and confidence in the police," he said. "And they're doing exactly what they have to do right now. All of us have to trust that what they are doing is very, very important. They're not releasing information to anyone. That's what they have to do."

Like many other people, her father wants to know if his daughter felt uncomfortable showing the house Saturday afternoon, why she was allowed to go by herself. "Those are questions we all want answers to," he said.

Buziak's mother Evelyn Reitmayer is devastated, said her sister, who picked up the phone at the family home.

"It's pretty harsh. We don't know what's happened and she's just devastated."

Yep, definitely sad for sure. Trying to make a living doing something she liked and ended up getting murdered.  :rotz:
