Natalee Holloway Breakthrough?!

I really do hope the family will find closure, but these tapes that have been exposed now are hardly real evidence. Joran still denies everything and that he just told the, what he thought to be, drug dealer what he wanted to hear. It is going to be tough to convict him... I hope that whoever is responsible (be it Joran or someone else) is going to get caught. The way it looks now and if the video is admittable in court is that Joran didn't kill Natalee and that she deceased on the beach and even if they can prove that she was still alive it was definitly not premeditated and it will come down to manslaughter or leaving someone in need of help. If she died, Joran and his friend were basically just a freelance funeral service... It will be kind of tough to ever really find out what happend and if she was dead or not, her body will probably never be found again. A truely sad case.

Dunno if it really made the news over there, here it is all everybody is talking about. May I note that I absolutely hate Peter R. de Vries the crime reporter. The way he put the show together was downright shamefull and the feelings of the mon were not even taken into consideration. The interview with her was weak and served no purpose other than entertainment. It should have been done backstage and she should have than been asked to give a statement. What is it with people these days, don't they have any tact

I'm sorry an innocent girl either died or got killed, but this was never a news story.

We've been hearing about this for several years because the girl looked kind of cute and the story is a classic cautionary tale for teenagers.  It's no diffferent from the age-old urban legends about teenagers parking in deserted areas and getting hacked up by psychos.

I don't understand it. 

For 358 days a year, people are so scared sh*tless of everyday dangers that they won't even let their kids buy bottle rockets or spray paint by themselves.  But then these same parents see no problem with sending their overly-sheltered 18yo kids down below the border to virtually lawless foreign resort towns for their spring break every year.

One thing is where was her head at ? Leaving a bar , drunk , with 3 guys in the first place ?
Now on to this slime ball . He is a very good liar . There is a lot of big holes even in this video . If this girl died on the beach and he didn't do anything wrong , why not get help ? He called " a friend "  ( which I still think was really his Dad the Judge ) , so why couldn't he call for help instead ? His actions are that of a murderer not of an innocent person .
  My idea of what happened goes like this : The 3 guys meet her at the bar . She is drunk . The 3 guys decide they are going to take advantage of this drunk girl . Van der Sloot (?) talks her into going to the beach to be alone with him where the 2 brothers are waiting . They rape her and realize she wasn't as drunk as they thought or she puts up a fight and hurts one of them , and they kill her . Van der Sloot (?) them panics and calls Daddy
. You know that being a Judge , he is the one with the boat . Of course Daddy helps because 1 - doesn't want his son to go to jail and 2 - Has to protect his own reputation and career .
