Far from it, it was an incredible game. I'm not a fan of either team, I love my Miami dolphins, but that was a great game to watch. Loved it.

Real good game! Took it right down to the end! Most of the time by the 4th quarter one of the teams is getting spanked bad and everyone loses interest and starts eating and drinking more and the tv kinda sits by itself. Not tonight!

Afflyer

I one word- STUNNING!!!

I'm dancing a jig right now as I'm writing this- the so called "greatest team" in the history of the NFL was FINALLY knocked off their high horse.

The Pats got OWNED all night tonight- NY's big D really showed up in Brady's face tonight and his frustration was CLEARLY evident.  This was the Pat's lowest score in the entire season- a remarkable and stunning testament to the Giants who knew what had to be done tonight to bring the arrogant and mighty Goliath down.

You know what they always say- "the bigger they are, the harder they fall", and I couldn't find a more perfect metaphore for tonight's game...

Oh wait...

How 'bout- "CHEATERS NEVER PROSPER!!!!!"  :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:

God bless all of you Giant's fans out there!  You deserve this wonderful championship win!!!!

You have to give the Giants credit. They were in Brady's face all day. Great win for them especially since Coughlin's job has been on the line multiple times over the past couple of years.

An outstanding coaching job.

As a Patriots fan, I really was worried about this game. The Giants had been playing great football the last month and their WRs had a size advantage over the Patriots corners.

It was a great game if you're a football fan.

Geez, Bradley, a little bitter?   :shruggy:

Ya, that was one of the few super bowl games that had me on the edge of my seat till the very end.  i even stuck around to watch the post game show for 1/2 hour.

Over all good game, I felt the 1st quarter was very good the 2nd and 3rd quarters were boring sleepers and the 4th quarter was great!!! over all good.

Awesome game. As a Dolphins fan, I'm glad to see the record preserved. One lil bright spot on the whole season even though the actual Dolphins had nothing to do with it. I heard somewhere the the '72 team would be hosting the Patriots for a dinner party upon winning the game. I'd guess that's now CANCELLED  :icon_smile_big:.

18-1. A great season that no means little since they couldn't seal the deal. Gotta give them (Patriots) credit though. They we're really tough all season. On the other hand, Them GIANTS we're playing outta their minds the last few weeks. They are very deserving.

Congrats GIANTS Fans....  :2thumbs:  :2thumbs:  :2thumbs:

i just think it is poetic justice, you good tell that new england had no respect for the giants, going for it on 4th and 13 early in the 4th when you kicker can hit a 49yarder, gotta question the thinking of belichk, although he does have WAY more expertise then me ,but the smarter thing would have been to kick and try for the 3 points9unless maybe the kicker wasnt feeling good)  :shruggy:

Not really a football fan but I was listening to the radio this morning and they mentioned the kicker had only hit one all year from that distance AND he had just royally screwed up the last kickoff. They also mentioned that *statistically* you should always go for it in the other team's territory so maybe it wasn't such a bad move (except, in hindsight, it didn't work).

From what I've seen today the fans seem more disappointed than the players. Many Pats fans appeared smug and cocky which tends to irritate other fans. Pats haven't played well for their last 5 or 6 games, can't believe they were 14 point favorites, they needed the ref's help to beat the giants during the regular season.
The fans and seemingly many of the Pats have come to expect Brady to pull another last minute win out of his a$$. Brady has carried this team for a majority of the season, your only as good as the team mates that surround you and last night is really showed.
Kinda of funny that Manning did the exact same thing to the Pats as Brady did to the Rams in the SB seven years ago.
Didn't Brady bring his G/F Jizelle, Gazelle, WTF is her name? Maybe if he did more  in the bedroom than  he would have been more rested up for the game.

I agree with you Brian. I spent the last two weeks listening to the yahoos that call into the talk shows saying it was going ot be a blowout.

Morons. This game scared me. The Giants have been really hot and matched up really well.

69_500

They did match up well, and they had the right style of offense to hurt the patriots defense. The Pats linebackers are getting up in age, and can't consitently stop a power running game. And they arent fast enough to cover a TE in the open field. The giants exploited both of these things in the game. And their defense had the benefit of being able to generate pressure with just the front 4-5 and thus leaving 6-7 players in pass coverage.

Plus it seems the trend has been set, the team that is HOT going into the post season regardless of standings, is the team to watch. 2 years ago it was the Steelers, last year the Colts were riding high going into the playoffs, this year it was the Giants.

This game scared me.

Awww who cares. You still got the Sox, and soon to be champion Celtics to gloat about. The Pats are now just a blip in NFL history...there's much worse things they will remembered for, so saying a "blip" is putting it nicely.  :icon_smile_wink:

And the Steelers??        Please stop already BMX, my gut hurts from laughing at your predictions about them.  :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:
