Slider spring mounts ?

Big Sugar

Anyone tried these ? Seems like a good idea for eliminating flex , but does it put more stress on the rear frame rail ?

You're not getting those slider things into the chassis without a welder, so its effects on the stock rear shackle mount are kind of academic. 


I think switching the bushings in a stock shackle would be a better way to tighten up the area.  Run a much stiffer (at least polyurethane) bushing in the upper hole in the chassis rail, and then run a normal rubber bushing in the lower halves of the shackles.  That way you'd get the tightening effects at the hole that's closer to the chassis (which has the most leveraged effects on the location of the axle as a whole), and then you'd still get the cushioning effects of rubber at the lower holes.

 Sounds right Mike, The rear shackle is actually a Double hinge and I'm thinking the ride quality would be a little more compliant over the slider.
I do like to try new things.....? But it seems to me those sliders may be a little noisy on a street car.
