Ok guys, what should the bracket be on my 72 440 car? Some say the flat pieces and then their is others who say it is the one i have a pic of below. Someone surely knows here or owns an original big block car to tell me. Do I need the flat brackets like in 71 or the bracket in the pic below? My 72 Mopar parts catalog shows the flat pieces but someone told me i have a late 71 breakdown in my 72 catalog. Someone please help!   Lyle

pretty much looks like the one that came off of my 72 440.

I also agree.....that's it.  But you also need a few more peices to make the entire combo work.

thats an alternator lower bracket to  A/C cars. There is not big diff with the NON AC cars just that the extra "leg" is to bolt on engine mount bolt to save vibrations when you turn on the A/C compressor

Ok, so if i'm understanding this correctly, since my car is a NON ac car that bracket would be incorrect? I'm thinking my car would just use the standard flat brackets (one being triangle shaped). Am I thinking right here, guys? Thanks a bunch for all the help.  Lyle :eyes: :eyes:

I have used that same bracket for both applications.  If it's a non a/c car you may or may not need a spacers and thats all.

Nacho-RT74

can be used on both aplications, I'm just telling which one is the right one.

The spacer is part of the bracket on this one.
