Khyron

very very nice car.  :2thumbs:

but if I may ask, was that your choice to keep the engine compartment black? I like the way they just did from the flat line down. looks sharp.

Thank's Khyron.    Yes, I wanted it that way.  What ever is not orange is going to be flat black (under the hood).  This car will be a nice driver and get used X10 so it's not a show quality paint job but definitely presentable.  The spots they fixed look great and I'm seeing more blocking was needed now that it's orange then when it was black.  :shruggy:  But that's OK this is not the final paint job on this car and most people won't be as picky as me.  :scratchchin:   Over all it looks great and we will enjoy it for the next few years or until someone takes it in the middle of the night.  :rotz:     Chuck...............

i think it looks great also chuck.  :yesnod: and i'll be perfectly honest.. i know mopar guys(not khyron he's a good guy).. but overall mopar guys in general like to beat down mopars with a black engine bay.. it's a chevy thing blah bkah.. but i don't mind black engine bays a bit. and like you, they are easier on wear for a driver.. which is what my cars are too. granted most of mine are body color, but if they were black, i would probably even prefer it. anywho  :2thumbs:

Death1970Proof

Car looks great! Let me know when you get the tire sizes and type for me. Thanks, Mike..
"Remember when I said this car was death proof? Well that wasnt' a lie-this car is 100%death proof- only to get the benefit of it honey you really need to be sitting in my seat"...

skip68

Hey Death1970Proof, The front tires are 235/60/15 and the rear tires are 255/60/15.   I can run a wider tire in the back and will with the next pair.       Chuck...............

WOW!! Your car really is beautiful!! There's something about seeing a freshly painted car (especially in body shop photo's) that make my eyes pop :o !  By the way, I love that "freshly painted car" smell you have there!!! I could almost smell it coming through my monitor!  :icon_smile_big: :icon_smile_big: :icon_smile_big:.   Congrats on Gittin-R-Done!   :2thumbs:

Thank's again.     All I have to do now is wait.  :rotz:  I have to let it cure before I put the lights, emblems, valance and grill back.  It's funny how many times I keep going in the garage and looking at it.  Next week the graphics go on and exhaust.  :2thumbs:  I have some paint left over that I can send you TUFCAT if you want and then you can sniff it.    :pullinghair:  Tweeeeeker   :smilielol:  Just kidding.   :2thumbs:

Congrats on your nre paint, it looks great! :2thumbs:

My engine bay's black too...but it's mainly grease, dirt, bugs, etc. :icon_smile_tongue:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

The car looks great.

My engine bay is black as well. It was a personal preference.

sick dawg

Look'n good Skip!

I have two 69's . One is an all stock resto and the engine bay is body color, but the other is done up as a Ginny Lee and the engine bay is black.
I figured if I change the color ( probably will eventually) it will be that much easier  to do. With mine it breaks up all that orange.  Orange car, orange engine bay, and orange block.  Too much orange! The black gives it a little contrast and keeps it from looking like a HLPAG spray bomb went off under my hood.
Good luck on your car. :drool5:
