Man, a black Charger in Vegas during the summer is gonna contribute to the weight loss program....no need for a steam room or sauna

:'( I guess I should loose a few pounds.  :'( Na, I paid the shop an extra couple hundred to paint it black so we can find all the bad spots that I missed and then they can finish it.  I thought it was a great idea and it gave me a chance to see the car dressed in black.  :2thumbs:  I'm doing a General Lee for a few years cause my 11 year old son loves that car and so do I.  :yesnod:  The paint combo I want to do is a daytona yellow with a white top or some kind of combo of daytona & white.  :2thumbs:  I'll repaint it in a few years.  The black was really hard to say goodbye to,(it did look sweeeeeet) but now the car has been sanded again and my 1/4 panel fixed.   :2thumbs:   I'll be picking it up next week and then it's going right to the muffler shop and then interior.  This car should be done in the next 3-4 weeks finally.  Thank's guy's.   Chuck.........

Man Skip, your car is looking great. Makes me even more excited about mine. It's in the body shop now too but their just getting started and it will be a while before their done with it. Mines T5 but oh how I wish it were black. Nicest color I think for a Charger. Seeing yours gives me something to look forward to. Can't wait to see the next set of pictures... :2thumbs:

Wow,  :o I just went and took a peek at it in the shop and it looks good.  :2thumbs: I did do about 4 hours of blocksanding on it and it paid off.  They shot another coat of primer on it and then shot it jet black.  This is to see the flaws in it so we can have it smooooooth.  There is a few spots that need attention but other than that it looks great.  The bodyman said we did good and saved a lot of money by doing most of the work ourselves.  I should be able to pick the car up by next Tuesday or Wednesday.  I just got a new HDD camcorder that takes pictures too.  :2thumbs: I took some pics of it so now I have to figure out how to get them here.  The cost right now is $1100 with $450 for the paint.  I do have a small issue with my passenger side 1/4 panel (bondo dent) that I'm having him fix and that's it.  I'll try to get pics up tonight.  Chuck..........

You mean there's another color for a 68-70 charger besides black???  :D Can you tell me about your wheel and tire combo? I know they are ar vectors but what size? And also the size for the tires as well...The car looks great!  :2thumbs:
"Remember when I said this car was death proof? Well that wasnt' a lie-this car is 100%death proof- only to get the benefit of it honey you really need to be sitting in my seat"...

Well, we rented a trailer yesterday so we could pick the car up today, but the painter did not like the way the hood and trunk had turned out. (Apparently, it had a run near the corners.) So, he repainted it this moring, and we pick it up tomorrow at 10 am!!!!! :2thumbs:
We will get pics. up soon, I promise! :yesnod: We have had to sacrafice alot, and work hard to get this done, so it's hard to deal with delays at this point. But in the end, it will be done right! I JUST HATE WAITING!!!!!!! :brickwall: I actually went into the garage last night to move a few things out of the way for the car, ......my shoe lace got caught on Chucks extension ladder, and down I went! :'( Slashed my left thumb wide open!!!!!) But it's a sacrafice i'll take for the love of a Charger! :pity:  :smilielol:

Hey thanks Death1970Proof.   The wheels are 15 X 8.5 all around and I'll get the tire size in the morning.  I did go with a lower profile tire in the front do to rubbing.   Chuck.........

Must have been a pretty big run if he could not Wet Sand & Rub it out :o

skip68

I thought they looked good.   :shruggy:   Better safe than sorry I guess.  We don't know if it was a run or not.  The painter just said that he didn't like the way they turned out.  :shruggy:
