Weld Pro-Stars, would you use them on the track and street?

A friend just bought a set of 15x10 Weld Pro-Stars, planning to use them as a dual purpose track and street tire.  People have been telling him that they will not last on the street, that they are too fragile, prone to dents and being knocked out of round.  Does anyone have any experience with these wheels?  Should my friend be worried about using them on the street?  They will run on a 68 Road Runner, 440 4spd car with an 8&3/4 rear with 4.10 gears.  Motor is a strong 500hp mill.

They're great wheels, and quite light....i still have the welds off my old 69 charger, 15x10" rears, with 275/60/15's and 15x8" fronts with 225/70/15's.  here's a pic:

the only thing i found with them is the lug nuts (mag wheel, thru the rim style) are a bit fragile, it's better to use lots of anti-seize and never use an impact gun on them, always put them on by hand.  My wheels have seen plenty burnouts, and abuse, they are still perfect.....and the 440 motor hasn't ripped them apart yet..... :eek2:  they have over 40000mi on them.... :2thumbs:
