This is the second day of 50+ mile an hour winds in the DFW area.
Yesterday 15 homes were lost due to grass fires that quickly got out of hand and several injured with close to a hundred thousand without power.
Today it's the same thing over again, High winds and fires.
It's nothing compared to a California wild fire but it's more then We are used to.

What natural disasters have You been through?

We had that same thing here (Salt Lake) Monday & Tuesday...except the fire part & multiple power losses & loss of homes...ok fine, we just had the wind part. :icon_smile_big:
So lots of wind, then throw about 8" of snow into the mix. :icon_smile_angry: We've had sideways snow, straight down snow, little snow pellets...that when combined with the gale force winds, will pretty much sandblast the skin off your face & turn any road surface into a friggin' skating rink.    They're forcasting the same thing starting tomorrow. Yeesh, I want summer back. :(

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Here in NE Washington State we have more snow than I've seen in the 15 years I've lived here.  We're under a heavy snow warning for tonight and tomorrow and I've already got around 30" on the roof.  I'm starting to get worried, but I'm well insured.  Bob

Most of our weather here is cold stuff. Nothing close to fires! On Sunday night, we had hail (small hail). That lasted for about 10 minutes and then it turned into snow....the snow lasted for about 15 minutes and then dissapeared and blue skies appeared. Woke up yesterday morning to a foot of snow. Then it got sunny. Woke up this morning and it was nice and sunny and now its raining and it'll probally turn to snow as it gets darker and colder. I tell ya, WEIRD weather
