those make me want to fix up my 71 crew....hmmm
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

no, unfortunatly...it's still out at my uncles where i bought it 2 years ago  :eek2: it's a factory 383 auto truck, 3/4 ton, shortwide bed...it's in need of some pretty extensive body work and the original 383 is MIA

Those Sweptline trucks a cool no matter what configuration they are.  :2thumbs:
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

Hmmmmm, my dad's old 74 reg. cab, long box, /6, 4spd D200 is still out back, was bright blue metalic too. Wonder if it would get better mileage than by 97 2500 4x4?

Magnumcharger

I just bought that '68 Utiline off Ebay in December. Still arranging transportation from California.
It's a 225/6 cyl with 3 speed std on the tree. Shortbox stepside, original paint.
I sure would like to find a beat-up 383/auto Sweptline to use for a drivetrain donor. Or I'll likely buy an old Chrysler and transplant the complete engine/tranny combination.
Should be a lot of fun since it already has 3:55 sure-grip.

i've got

1. 71 crew cab 3/4ton
2. 62 long bed 1/2ton
3. 63 shortbed stepside 1/2ton (in peices)
4. 63 regular cab 1 ton
5. 69 1/2 ton long bed
and about a dozen parts trucks scattered over the country side

all of these trucks are in different levels of "projects"

we used the 1 ton afew months ago to move a buddys trailer house around his property...for an old worn out 318 it sure moved that trailer pretty good...of course the granny low 4 speed and 4.88 gears helped abit  ;)

I've always thought this guy had a sweet set-up. I'd love to have a dually like this one! Up where I live, by the time you find an early 70's/ late 60's pick-up, there usually very trashed/totally rotted.  :-\ :'(

That dually is definitely cool. :yesnod:
So is the '70, for that matter. I don't recall seeing many of those with side trim on them, most I've seen have always been plain Jane trucks like the one in the 2nd link. That thing would look bitchin' as a 4x4 with maybe 6" of lift & some 35's under it. :icon_smile_cool:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

This is my ole 73 crewcab that I drive daily.     ;)

Love the old trucks.
Wish I had one.
:iagree:
Theres a '70 3/4 ton Ive been keeping my eye on around here for the last few months. He wants $3000 for it but I could probably get it for a lil less. If only I had the money. :rotz:

dang, look at the wheel base on that thing.   my 76 club cab couldn't park in a regular parking spot without backing up and turning in more second time,  thought my truck had long wheel base,   that is cool

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

It's easier to back this thing into a parking spot than forward.  :yesnod:  I actually parked next to a limo once and the limo was only a few feet longer.   :2thumbs:

And this 1968: http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/car/552267815.html

So are you gonna buy that 500 dollar one?  that is a good deal for a cool old work truck,

I'm going to stick with one project at a time but I would love to have it. I'm also thinking about getting another early '70s Scout II.

that is one really fine sharp nice looking truck,    looks at least as good as any truck out there,    has the classic lines but looks kind of modern at the same time,  must be the rims and flawless body and paint,  and the light black tint   :2thumbs:  :Twocents:

You had me at hello..  :drool5:

Those are some nice collections of pics of old dodge trucks, thanks for posting that, there's an old one around where I live, I got a pic of, makes me want to go leave a note on truck and ask him  if he's interested to sell it, doesn't look like it drives hardly ever,  kind of want one now

has a chrome rear bumper,   front left fender crinkled some,     but those pics show how nice you can make these look,   :2thumbs:

Here is a picture of my new truck. It is exactly as pictured, with the exception of the following changes I've
photo-shop'd into it:
Lowered
Wheels and hubcaps off of my A-108 project truck added
Redline tires installed.
Various paint scabs repaired.

I can't wait to get this puppy home!!
