Hey everyone,

A fellow is selling a 440 motor and I need one for my restoration project.  The engine is dated 8-7-69 and the code is 2536430-8

There is a number stamped in the pad that reads:

171eho8

Does anyone know what this stamping refers to?  I've never seen of heard of anything like this...

Thanks in advance members!

An 8-69 casting would have wound up in a '70 vehicle so none of those numbers make any sense; I'd say it's a rebuilder's work.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
