OK, so I thought I'd get to this topic before that Bronze dude did...

SO, who has hair?  Bald?  Greying?  Plugs?  Hippy long?

Should we make this a poll??

:smilielol: Sounds like Gallager

Well, I have seen myself bald when I had cancer back in the early 90's taking Chemo and believe me it's not a pretty sight. Now I have a very full head of hair (Not long, just full) and about 40% grey. My beard is about 80% grey to almost white if I let it grow.

My 30 year old son is roughly 80% grey and started turning grey when he was in high school.

I had a buddy in high school who was bald before he graduated.  We could always count on him to buy our booze.

When I changed careers in '96 I cut my middle of the back locks.  Now it's very thin and I've grayed a whole bunch the past year or so.  I imagine sleeping for 4 days had something to do with it.
My grandma on my Moms side was 92 when she passed and she still wasn't completely white.

Chris, you "were" the only hippy I knew of.

Back in the mid 90's I was underneath a big truck on a creeper giving it a lube job and I ran over my ponytail. That was it for the in vogue B.S of those days. I had my wife cut it off when I got home that day.

My hair is thinner than when I was a teen and it is beginning to recede a little but not bad yet.  Once in a while I have a gray here and there but when I grow a beard it is really gray.  I have noticed that I have alot of hair growing out of my nose ears and eyebrows. Maybe I can get it transplanted back on my head?  :shruggy:

i have long hair, and absolutly refuse to get on a creeper...been there done that.
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

I guess that doesn't have anything to do with this topic. Anyway, Rogaine gave me headace's. So, it's getting thin on top.

Yea, Chris (TK), how would you describe your follicle transition from hippie to... um whatever? I hope you donated that hair of yours to the kids with cancer wig thing they do.

I had long hair thru my 20's and 30's but I've found in my 40's it's too much of a pain in the butt to deal with in the morning so I cut it down.
It's also starting to grey out like crazy. Too much stess from work probably...lol

You did remember to hide the Old Milyukee in case he stops by right?  Thank god the NASCAR season is over..............   Now, where are them scissors?  :pullinghair:

mikesbbody

this is a interesting thread! when i was about cody's age, i had a mullet  :smilielol: but they were in fashion back then so dont laugh too much (alot of you probably had one at some stage right?) after that, sissors never came close for many years and i could easily sit on my hair before i cut it all off (which was kinda sad but time for a change) now, i have a few grey "highlights" but at least i still have a full head of hair and im thankful for that  :yesnod:

Charger1973

I had long hair when I was a teenager but its been buzzed off since I was in the Army.  Now that im in college and dont have to keep a job I let it grow again.  Its just shaggy now but I dont have any plans to cut it for a while.

My hair touches my booty !!! :smilielol: No really, I have long hair! :2thumbs:

Chuck finally realized that the long hair thing for HIM (yes, he had a mullet :eek2:) was not a "great look", (Also because I nagged him! :D) so his hair is short but classic! :drool5:

My head is a smooth a silk, not hair on it. Of course I shave it every other day as well.

JimShine

I have thick curly brown hair. Usually it is sort of afro like. Some gray in the beard. No baldness anywhere in either side of the family, so no worries here.

1970 Charger 500

Gravity caused my head hair to relocate itself from my eyebrows down!
If you turned my head upside down, it would look like my face was clean shaven.
If you hung my head on your door, you'd have good luck!!
My head is bald because of thigh burns!
God created a few perfect heads, the rest he put hair on.
My wife likes my bald head because when I'm down on her she can look at herself in the reflection.
My bald head is good for wind resistance when I need to run to the fridge to get another beer before the commercial ends.

I've still got all my hair, but it's mostly gray. It's never been short other than some awful crew cut I had when I was 4 or 5 years old. Being a kid in the late 60's, & then being in high school in the 70's, longer hair was common, so it wasn't an issue. My parents didn't care what I did with it as long as it was clean.

It was only in the last 5 or 6 years that  I had a pony tail that made it down to the middle of my back, but last spring I decided to get it cut. I was doing more work on the house & cars last year, so it was getting on my nerves again. Someone made a funny comment in the member's photo thread saying I looked like Willie Nelson, then Bob Vila.

I donated the pony tail to the program, "Locks of Love" http://locksoflove.org/ so they'll use it for cancer patients. I was either going to wait until my one bald friend got drunk & passed out so I could attach it to his head, or put it on my neighbor's dog with no tail to see their reaction, but thought it best to not ruin it for some kid with cancer who might need it.

Here's some pics so you can all get a good laugh. I may still be ugly, but at least I won't get a sunburn on my head.   :D

Curly/wavy brown here.  Fluctuates between medium-shaggy to over a foot.  I've had a sharp window's peak hairline ever since high school like my dad but there's no baldness in the family.  No grey yet.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I read something a couple years ago that some British company is telling their stockholders they will be selling a baldness reversing thing to the public in only 4 or 5 years.  I don't remember if it was stem cells or what.

I dunno what ever happened to that operation, but man, they would get rich as hell if it worked.  A bloody fortune.

Stem cell for baldness?  I'd rather they find other uses.  I imagine it's cheaper to develop and there's more money making potential pushing that.  :shruggy:

I try to keep my hair high and tight, unlike my friend in the picture here:

I have a bit of a big forehead, but it's been like that for as long as I can remember. Based on what my dad looked like in later years, I don't expect it to get any bigger.

According to Strat's chart, I'm a type A.  My forehead's plenty big. One day, I'll just shave it bald...not really looking forward to that day.
I had long hair until my mid 30's, then one day I looked at myself in the mirror & decided I looked rediculous with long hair & half bald on top. I had my wife hack it off that day. The following day I went to work & 7 different people didn't recognize me from the rear.

The creeper thing used to piss me off the most. I ran it over with the wheels, got it caught IN the wheels (had to cut myself free one time), mopped all sorts of fluids off the floor while on the creeper & off...I don't miss it for those reasons one bit.
Oh & I also used to get nasty knots in my hair if I didn't put it in a ponytail before riding my street bike.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
