Isn't Jims the place to avoid? It was either Jims or Jacks? There was a thread some where about that company... Anyone remember?

And again not a piece for the 3rd Gens  Typical . I guess they have to figure a way to justify asking 3 x the price over the others.

I just got an e-mail on that glass kit.
They also show Brand new inner fenders.
Nothing for the 3rd gen's yet.

Hopefully someone else will start carrying this glass. A kit for $1,300 seems like a pretty good price if the glass is good but I'd hate to have to deal with Jim's on any returns or other problems.

a lot of people have had problems with Jim's   go over on moparts & ask  , but  have ordered stuff from them a few times & had no problems received what i ordered , shipping was a damn expensive , more than year one  , but i needed the stuff quick  & every body else did not have the parts in stock

True, but they only have tinted sets their 7-piece kit is about $250 more than Jim's 8-piece kit. Still it might be worth it considering the potential hassles.

Why not try your favorite local glass guru? They might be able to get it from their supplier.

XV would be the way to go.   

I rounded up all the tinted glass for my car last year.  It came out of a car that spent it's whole life in MI.  The glass has plenty of light scratches from the snow scraper.     It was about the same shape as the clear stuff that came outta my car.  It'll do for now and one day I'll get the set from XV, one day!

There is also a company that has been selling aftermarket glass on eBay. I forget the name, but they are on there from time to time.
The generic aftermarket stuff does not have date codes or markings as originals.
ECS Automotive Concepts is another company that advertises in MCG that makes correct date coded & stamped glass. MCG did an extensive article in the Jan '08 issue about date coded glass.

PS auto glass sells all the 68-70 Charger glass pieces...   They also sell ALOT of other makes, models, and things...    reasonably priced as well...

I bought a full set of glass from PS, For the most part everything was pretty close, but the vertical part
of the back window glass, was so warped there was no way it would seal, or could I get the stainless
back on. I told him about the problem, he told me nothing like this has come up, and go ahead and
send it back........... Well I did not go back to my wife's car at the body shop for 8mo, so now its
way to late to send it back now     her car is 2 1/2 hours away, and 99% done.

I've dealt with Jacks before and I think they're great.  They'll use USPS so shipping isn't that much to Canada.

i have the 6 peice set of glass for the 68 charger sides not tinted. i am in new york state.
