Why didn't George W. think of this?

The Saudis are boycotting American goods. We should return the favor.

An interesting thought might be to boycott their GAS.

Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid putting
more money into the coffers of Saudi Arabia. Just buy
from gas companies that don't import their oil from
the Saudis.

Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that
every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money
to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my
friends.

I thought it might be interesting for you to know
which oil companies are the best to buy gas from and
which major companies import Middle Eastern oil.

IMPORTERS:

Shell........................... 205,742,000 barrels

Chevron/Texaco.......... 144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil................ 130,082,000 barrels
Marathon/Speedway... 117,740,000 barrels
Amoco............................62,231,000 barrels

If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount
to over $18 BILLION! Note: The price of oil is now
over $50/barrel- - -increasing the take to about $30
Billion!!!!!

Here are some large companies that Do Not import
Middle Eastern oil:

Citgo.......................0 barrels Sunoco...................0 barrels
Conoco..................0 barrels Sinclair....................0 barrels
BP/Phillips................0 barrels Hess........................0 barrels
ARC0......................0 barrels

All of this information is available from the
Department of Energy and each is required to state
where they get their oil and how much they are
importing.

But to have an impact, we need to reach literally
millions of gas buyers.

It's really simple to do.

Now, don't wimp out at this point... keep reading and
I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of
people!!

I'm sending this note to about thirty people.

If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 =
300)... and those 300 send it to at least ten more
(300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the
message reaches the sixth generation of people, we
will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers!

If those three million get excited and pass this on to
ten friends each, then 30 million people will have
been contacted!

If it goes one level further, you guessed it ... THREE
HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!

Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people.

How long would all that take?

If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people
within one day, all 300 MILLION people could
conceivably be contacted within the next eight days!

Might want to rethink Citgo...It's owned by Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez. He has been linked to funding terrorists and other unspeakable acts against mankind.

I agree Hugo loves Fidel Castro and is currently in the process of stealing land from land owners and redistributing it to poor people. Wether you like this idea or not it's wrong.  He is turning Venezuela into a socialist state and is going to ruin that country.

Marathon I believe is the only American owned gas company and I don't know where they get their oil from

I still say we should follow Brazil's lead and grow our own non-to extremely low pollutant fuels..

Gas and oil will allways be here for our mopars. I'm not worried about that. I just think it makes sense for the USA to put people in the USA back to work and clean up our act for our future generations..


I watched something about the pollution in and around Longbeach, Ca. last night.. They say the diesel burning trucks are causing cancer to those working and living within 20 miles of the shipping piers.. Why not burn Bio-diesel or Veggie oil??? The bio-diesel would cut way down on the pollutants and the Veggie oil would emit none!!

That would be a nice thing to reduce the dependency from oil from the middle east, however you think prices are high right now, if you implement a boycott of that magnitude you will see prices rise way beyond $5.00 per gallon = less source, same domestic demand. You would probably see other prices on other products go up that use petroleum base.   Good idea, but in my opinion financially detrimental to our economy at this point in time.

Again,,, I agree......   That's why we need to cut to the chase and start growing our own... Why the hell not???  We would put many farmers back to work. Start new businesses.. Transfer fuels that are environmentally much more safe. The plants that would process the veggie oil would be self sufficient for power as they would burn the after product for the power they use. (This is also done in Brazil). Our air would be much better and for those of us burning French fry oil, we would be helping people lose weight..   You know,, when you smell food all the time it makes you want to stay away from it!!  Hahaha.........
