My car repair manual states that to acquire a new filter for the below vapor can I must simply walk into a car parts store and they will have it.  Well, they are apparently living in Fantasyland, or I have substandard car parts stores in my city because the stores are clueless.  Anyone know where to get these?  I never see them on EBAY either.

O K,  no one seems to know where to get new filters for this so I will now ask if it is safe to simply bypass the vapor can by connecting the two hoses that feed into it with a hose connector.

I just went to

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,carcode,1079467,parttype,5000

and they list part #'s for the vapor canister, I would take their #'s to your local parts store and see if they can cross them
