I'm tryinh to make a oil pump primer tool for my 1977 400 c.i. I need to know what all shafts interchange

Take an old distributor and remove the cam gear.  Run a drill on the shaft until you get oil in the lifter valley, it will take a few minutes to get pressure through the system (install your oil filter, oil pressure sending unit and make sure all plugs are installed).

You can buy this tool cheap at any auto parts store.

I made mine with the correct allen wrench (from the bargain bin) cut and welded a steel shaft (anything lying around will do) long enough to attach a drill to. $0.99 and 5 min lab.
