Thanks 41Husk. I've done a few side jobs lately and it took me away from my family a lot. I agree though, make money when in time and of need. But Monday after I make a few calls and go to a few other shops, I'm sure I'll be posting that I got a new job sooner than I expect. I'll be fine, I'm just pissed that this happend at a shop where family is important and they have been good to me, thus being very strange why it went down like so. But, now its my turn to finish what he started.
Also, I have a rich wife!!

The job market here is awesome. I have two other shops to go back to later this afternoon, it snowed last night here also, wrecks galore today already. I love it when people wreck just good enough for me to get work. I study Jeet Kune Do and Kempo.

yeah it's cinda bad to wish people wreck but it help out our buisness greatly , gets us inventory and insurance sales. we wish for bad weather .

I've been watching this thread. I've been in your shoes brother. And have also watched a lot of other good techs get the boot for no other reason than managers/owners trying to pinch pennies.
I worked both on straight time and piecemeal at several bodyshops, including dealerships and a resto shop. Bodywork and paint is a rough way to make a living, and if people actually knew how much work actually went into repairing even the smallest fender-bender, they'd be amazed!
The best retaliation I ever saw was a painter that got canned at a GM dealership I was at. He took a very large squirt bottle of Armor-all protectant, and walked around the shop giving the spraybooth, filters, work surfaces, and walls a healthy dose of spray.

Needless to say, the fallout was immense.

And no, it wasn't me that did it...

Sounds like you will be okay. I guess you weren't meant to be a cop. The test reminds me of when they drill you for jury duty - If you speak your mind forget it. Hope the cop car paint thing goes ok. It's not like you are gonna have anal retentive customers. :Lil:
