Congrats on the find. Hope everything works out for you, and the prices on those crate HEMI's are getting cheaper and cheaper. Compared to what the same ones were selling for about 5 years ago that is.

Give me a musium piece and I will drive it especially if it had a Hemi. Not driving a Hemi car to me is like having a super model and just looking at it.

It's also much harder to frighten people with your car on a trailer.   ;)

Give me a 100 point show car and I'll turn it into a 65 point driver car in less than a year. And oh man would I enjoy it too.

it is not fiction but here is the snafu..i bought the car over the phone and felt pretty good about it....went to the guys house on sunday to do the deal and meet a really kewl guy...guy starts crying about how he has had this car for 15 years and kids and other stuff is now more important..i can relate to that as well...went downstairs and here are boxes and boxes of 69 charger parts all tucked neatly away and catergorized...seen the charger body as well which has all body work done and is zero zip nada rust free....the problem....i dont have any where near the time to reconstruct or put the charger back together and was kinda floored that it was parts and the rust free shell....talking to the guy originally i knew motor was non numbers (its a 72 non hp block) and apart..but i never envisioned it was this huge of a project....i have 3 jobs and at this point i would have to farm this puppy out..which scares the hell out of me...i havent a clue who can rebuild this charger and it needs to be saved....69 rt (i have all the options codes) b5 blue 727 auto on floor, tic toc tac 8 and three quarter back end (which is also completely apart)...it would be a great car and the rust is fixed..however everything is in pieces..my thoughts are offer the guy $2500 bux and sell all the parts off and the rust free shell...try and find a relaible shop in the midwest and pay upwards of $30k (lets face it recession is here)...get the car and all the parts and put in my garage for the next 10 years..i do not know at his point what to do..as stated above it is a very decent car option wise..i just do not have the time...i do have pictures of the boxes upon boxes of parts.my daughter took (some old cuda parts in there as well as parts from an additional 69 charger)...may add the fender tag is there but the build sheelt was awal from years ago...i have no clue where here in the midwest where to transport this charger for a rebuild...kinda big time bummed out to boot but the price is a killer for an 69RT...

snooter

somebody shoot me an email that knows how to post pics and ll send a few of the car and the boxes of parts

here are fender tag codes may be you guys can tell me if it is worth doing..m26,m31,n85,r11,v1x,v88,xs29,a01,a36,b51,c16,c55,g33,l9b,b5,c6x,x9,b29,e86,d32......

The70RT

Go to photo bucket....it is pretty much a dummies for pictures site. If you got softwear and a digital camera and a 3.5 floppy. The fender tag doesn't show what it is worth. If it is all there you would be stupid to part it out. for 2500 you will really make the guy cry and would probably be an insult. If this is your dream car then quit dreaming and buy it and take the time and put it together :Twocents:

Your post isn't making alot of sense... I thought You Bought a Charger.
  "for 5 grand..."

"offer the guy $2500 bux "    :scratchchin:

"i bought the car over the phone and felt pretty good about it"  :scratchchin:

"went downstairs and here are boxes and boxes of 69 charger parts all tucked neatly away and catergorized...seen the charger body as well which has all body work done and is zero zip nada rust free"    :-\

"69 rt (i have all the options codes) b5 blue 727 auto on floor, tic toc tac 8 and three quarter"

"boxes upon boxes of parts.my daughter took (some old cuda parts in there as well as parts from an additional 69 charger)..."

                                             :shruggy:

So you bought the car over the phone?..
Your gonna offer him $2,500?
It's a numbers matching 1969 R/T that is all done but needs to be put back togeather?..
there's parts for an additional '69 and "some old Cuda"..

And you don't know what to do?...    :scratchchin:

PocketThunder

Hell, I'll give you $5000 for that car if you need to unload it.   What state are you in? :callme:

if the B29 is in the correct order of codes as you have wrote down Cody  B29 is the (SPD) shedualed production date ,  which would be November 29th  1968  :yesnod:
