the proportions look good in these shots dispite being big for a "pony car" i sure like the grill alot better but i'm not caring for the clear rear
light bar... maybe it'll grow on me..  :shruggy:
Sure looks alot better then the magnum sedan.. IMO..

Those pics look much better than that photoshopped camo-removed silver pic in the other thread that's for sure.

I'm stunned there is no crosshair in the grill. It's awesome :)

Think it would have been a tiny bit better if they could have had a nice continuous quarter, without that seam where the molded rear bumper starts, but other than that I think it's pretty good.

Seems the tailpipes are now up into the rear valance, vs some other spy shots posted here... did they extend the valance (and black it out) or bring the pipes up?

Looks good though.

Brock Samson

i'm noticing the pics have the bottom of the chally cut off by snow so it don't look as chunky as it actually is... see how the bottom couple inches are painted flat black?.. aslo the side character line is kinda' lost... a stripe or pin stripe would bring it out... also i like they added a fuel filler, so i'm gonna guess the rear seat back is fixed...

plum500

Ya, it looks like the whole thing has been extended down some, and or the body line raised, and slightly less curve...dunno...something looks different.

Fuel filler is great. I think a strobe down the side might look decent on that car.

You mean there is another thread about this new Challenger?    :shruggy:

The blackout on the lower areas was extended up to "almost" the door opening.    Looks less of a porker.     I still don't need one but it's not bad.

It only looks good in Hemi orange.  :shruggy:

Black with silver stripes please! Maybe even flat black stripes!  :D If that's the production tail light assembly it SUCKS! Keep the concept tail light. Technology is your friend. USE IT!

The back of the car looks tons better than the prototype.

:shruggy: another chally thread?.. Shirley you jest..

BTW:
I think the rear of the Concept had a definate kick up in the back besides alot more detailing..

That vehicle will stand as the greatest example of retro-design in modern day automobiles. It is amazing. As much as we want to nit-pick - just think of how seeing that on the road is an example of all our bitching over the new "Charger", and where it has gotten us.

For once, Dodge responds to their fans......

...now if only it will be affordable for us working-class folk - we'll have to wait and see.

Excellent all around - the grill is fabulous.

With that and the modern-day mustang on the roads, it will feel like 1970 all over again.

I think some decals stripes etc will help, I like the look :Twocents:

its too chunky. damn shame.

Chunky?!

Compare it to the pig-nosed 2008 Charger...the new Challenger then looks like a Brazillian super-model.

It's fine.

SFRT

the 'Charger' is a joke. So no comparison possible. I like this better than the new mustang, thats for sure, but it still looks a little tubby too me.

The taillight configuration looks the same as an orange one somebody saw cruising around...

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

i could nit pick it to death, but i am extremely happy overall with it. it's a 2 door retro looking muscle car, THAT we have been bitching about for at least 10 years(at least i know i have that long).. coulda shoulda woulda with the charger abomination, but this HELPS make up for it in my eyes. i know i want one! i hope they sell the bejeezus out of them and MAYBE the charger will follow in retro form. that would make me so happy. kudos to dodge for making our dreams come true in the midst of struggling and people like creeder demanding there was no market for this type car. just bring the price down and jump in feet first like how they did the charger. the car is already making a late enough intro

No car will ever please everyone but this is so much more than I ever imagined from Dodge. The SRT8 looks fun but I really think a standard 5.7 hemi will be more than adequate for me and makes the most sense from a financial and practical sense.  Hopefully, when the 2009's come out I will be in a position to get one.

I am thankful to Ford for getting the retro ball rolling and all those Mustang fans who bought one.
