The coolest truck in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I built 2 of those in my teens. One was built the way it was ment to be, the other I cut off the sleeper, shortened the wheel base, and made a Consolidated Freightways truck.

Its got a different look to it for sure. Wonder how much that nose will cost to replace when one of them hits a deer on the road at 3am.

While it looks cool I just dont see it being a practical nose for the truck. Perhaps it would help the air flow of the truck but it just looks like lots of extra stuff to take care of and deal with later on when the road starts to take its toll on stuff.

If you have a half hour to kill, here is a video from the '08 Auto Show in Chicago on the Lonestar. Once the video gets going a little, you can jump to the 10min mark before it actually gets to the Lonestar stuff.

The Macks below are Austrailian trucks, but this is going to replace the Mack CL here in the states this year too. Probably without the air cleaner stacks though. I like this truck a lot. :yesnod:

It was called Maximum Overdrive. I think it was also retitled Trucks. I have seen it by both names at Blockbuster.

I dont know if I have told this story before but a few years ago I was roaming around a boneyard in Pratt Kansas. I came upon this old oil field Dart.  A buddy of mine ended up buying it and drove from Chicago to get it.

Fast forward to a year or so ago I was talking about it at our antique truck club meeting. An old guy in the club starts talking to me and says he remembers 2 Darts in Pratt Kansas working the oil patch. One went to the Oil Museum in Russell Kansas and the other to a junkyard at Pratt. He had B&W photos of the 2 Darts and 8mm video of the red one in action. After seeing my pictures we are about 99% sure the truck in his videos is my buddys truck now. He got the 8mm converted to DVD and got me a copy. I snapped some photos out of the video tonight with a little program I found. This truck was amazing with how it hossed around the oil derrick. The pictures are cool but dont do it any justice without seeing the video.
