If you've got $1,275,000,000.00, you can live like him as the house if for sale also.

It's a bit North of Phoenix.

The house is owned by a fella named Greg Nelson  http://www.moparponderosa.com/index.html   who is buying Bill Wieman's place in Scottsdale, AZ.  Bill is also selling off a car or so.

Whats the deal with the different color exhaust hanger brackets?  Are the supposed to be that way?  They must be if this car is all correct.
Also the e-brake cable on the right has a rubber sleeve on it and the left side doesnt...?

On Chargers with dual exhaust the unpainted one is added (bolted in) as the car goes down the line if it gets duals, and the other is welded in as all Chargers get that one of course. As far as the cable thing i would have to look at mine to see.

Oh I hate those houses made out of sand - - or adobe style. They just look SCORCHING HOT. I'm sure that's the style, but I wouldn't want to live there. Too me, its just depressing. It looks like the dessert, then your house is made of sand - with hardly no windows??/ Oh no...not me. Give me some bricks and wood.  :Twocents: :Twocents:

I wouldn't know what to do with a house that big. I would love to have a modest 3 bedroom ranch. A garage half that size would be fine for me.

Actually, I talked to Greg a couple years ago and he seemed like a super nice guy.  He told me that he started buying and selling these cars back in  the 80's.  In fact I remember him telling me that he actually had to charge his first Hemi Cuda on a credit card.   He said it ended up paying off though because he sold it a couple years later (I think it was only a couple years) for way more than he paid for it.  He used that money to buy even more cars.  You have to hand it to the guy because he knew what he was doing back then and obviously still does.  I had no idea until now how much he actually has.

I would agree luck had little to do with it, it seems like he had a vision and diddn't waiver from it and now he is reaping the bennifits.  Congrats to him.

Hmmm, One guy say's muffler Bracketts must be right since car restored to be correct, If correct since when did Chrysler paint their undecarriages. Since the left side unbolts & right welded it's obvious the undercarriage was painted with left removed. Then added later. BUT, In my opinion if they were going to add later they should have painted orange to match.  :Twocents: :shruggy: LEON.

Why would anyone give a rats a$$ about the color of muffler hangers anyway?

Correct. The passenger side hanger was standard and painted on the car. If the car had dual exhaust then they added a drivers side hanger on the line and that hanger should not be painted.

hemi-hampton

In reality, Since Chrylser never painted their undercarriages, none of the hangers should be painted. When you do redo your under carriage & decide to paint it, both hangers should be on, why would you even take one off? LEON.

Mike DC

What cracks me up is that there are books full of obscure trivia like that.

And then when I start looking & calling around to find a basic measurement for the correct original ride-height on stock leaf springs . . . nobody has a clue.

This hobby can be very inconsistent & selective about what it cares about and what it doesn't.

hemi-hampton

Might be hard to see with the dark Lighting but I like to paint both my Hangars, as can be seen on this B5 blue 440 6 pak Cuda. Since painting undercarriage is not correct any ways how can you say both should not be painted or one should & one should not. If you want correctness go the primer with overspray route. New trunk & frames & trunk extension & 1/4's & partial floors on this car. LEON.

I'm not really that impressed with the house, but the choices of cars, and collection of them is pretty impressive. As far as calling it the best collection in the world? That will always be debatable. I know people have said its the largest collection of HEMI E body convertibles in the world, but are you guys sure of that? I'm thinking there is another gentleman that has had at least 5-7 of them since the early 80's. And there is another gentleman in just south of me (about 150 miles) that has 2 or 3 factory HEMI E body convertibles as well.
