Hello,
I have a set of (wore-out!)BF Goodrich 275 60 15 blackwall tires mounted on my 15x10 Cragar SS wheels. I am about to get a new pair(the white letter style. :yesnod:
I have a set of pair of BFG RWL 215 70 15 tires that I just put on my 15x6 Cragar SS wheels for the front.
Is there a 60 series tire that is a little taller than what I have that would fit this wheel or am I good with what I have.

I do not like the look of 50 series tires becuase they  are not being as tall as the 60 series..

Your opinions are appreciated! :coolgleamA:

50 and 60 are not "SERIES" numbers... they are percent of the width used on height.

for 60s side little taller, need also wider to keep on 60 being taller... if not, try to get 65 side and same width

for example

255/60-15s are 27"... for more less 1" taller keeping same width needs 255/65-15

however, to keep same 60, but once again around 1"taller would need 275/60-15, what makes also wider ( 2 cms wider, around 3/4" )

you can get pretty similar height on 50 or 55 tires getting wider, for example 295/55-15... and numbers relationship goes on!!!

use the JAVA version of that website calculator and ilustration will be very explained by itself!!!

Thanks Natcho!
I know the tires are not called "series" some people have reffered to that term as "series" however. :yesnod:
Stop being so "technical!" :coolgleamA: Haha!

Thanks for the info!

If you're looking for taller 70's get a 225 / 70.   15x6 is fairly skinny wheel.

I used to run 225/60/15 on 15x7.   I moved up to 235/60.

Here's the spec list for the bfg' ta's.  http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec.jsp?make=BFGoodrich&model=Radial+T%2FA&tirePageLocQty=

Brian,
Thanks for the info.
I just bought the 215 70 15 tires.I chose 15x6 wheels on purpose.I see SO MUCH new skool stuff I wanted the old skool look, sorta like a day 2 theme. :yesnod:

I am still bewildered becusase I am running 275 60 15 tires on my 15x10 wheels. The chart and from what I have read online they only fit to 9.5 wheels. :scratchchin:

I run 295/50's on the back on 15x10s.    I think 275/60's work best on 15x8's.
