PARTS I.D. HELP!! What are these vent window handles for, anyway??

Help, please!!!

I have an oddball vent window handle here. In the photo below, the angled one on the left is for a Charger. They are in all of my Chargers, '68 - '70. The one on the right is STRAIGHT.
A good friend of mine (also a member here), has a '69 Coronet R/T convertible with the STRAIGHT handle.

What I'd like to know is, is the straight handle for convertibles only, or for other '68 - '70 non-Charger B-bodies? My thinking is that Chrysler made the anged handles to clear the upper door pads on Chargers. Other B-bodies did not have the upper door pads, therefore the straight handle. Holding the handle up to the vent window on my '68, the straight handle will clear the upper door pad, but it is very close, almost touching.

So, what models is it for? Convertibles? B-bodies? A or C bodies too??  :scratchchin:  :shruggy:

Bill, I believe those handles fall in with the early 68 stuff . you are probably right on the money on why the changed them though..............too many people probably complained about how close to the pad they were. :Twocents:
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

Hey Brian, Thanks. Would you say these are correct for '66 - '67's, too? I just find it odd that my buddy has these on his '69 Coronet convertible.

Can anyone here confirm what car(s) this type of handle is for??  :shruggy:

66-67 are like the straight one except judging by the picture, they have a much deeper bend to them.  Could be the angle of the pic too and it could also be a Charger only thing. :shruggy:
