Goverment has been with lot of regulations about money exchange since 2003. For couple of years we had US$2500 by year limit to buy ON LINE. This 2007 was increased to US$3K.. I got my creditcard this year so started my party ( with mine and my dad's credit card ). Because hard regulations of goverment, making importers trying to find US$ on any way posible, increasing the Dollar/Bolivar rate and making everything down here more expensive. So everybody with a Credit card buying on line directly from USA.

For example...  OFFICIAL STABILISHED AND FIXED Money exchange rate is 2150 Bs by US$1  ( Bolivares, local Money ) Due the regulations and hard limits to get US$, Importers of that stuff have to find US$ at maybe 6000 Bs. by dollar on black market.

that makes for example a kitchen aid stand mixer that normal USA price is $300-400 ( 800000 Bs ), priced on 3500000 Bs... 4 times more!!!!

Goverment noticed that importers and regular ppl "buying" the US$ limit from ppl who doesn't use his credit card to buy on line so he will cut from US$3K UP TO JUST US$400 BY YEAR by person. If course THAT will be worst to local economy, making black market more salvage, but goverment doesn't think on that.

Who is affected ? of course POOR PPL, and regular users, not importers. They will keep find US$ on any way posible and now more expensive

I hope this will be understable, I tried to explain it best as posible I can do, but this kind of language is hard to use when I'm not related with economical therms in english.

What about the gift factor? I've seen some threads here where people say marking packages with the word "gift" will deter a lot of delay and cost issues. Would that work for you?

Nacho-RT74

"Gifts" therm just save from extra fees made on shipping cost by declared value with couriers, but that won't save me from pay the value I would have to pay to seller. That should it be still paid to seller ( logical )...

forgot to say why the reason of the money exchange blocking:

That was the way how the goverment got to control the International Reserves account on the line when we got the general labor strike on dec 2002 ( including oil industry ) trying to beat him up. Since was no made, then ppl tryed to get any US$ posible to run from the country or keep the money value.  US$ price started to raise up the price and then Goverment blocked the money exchange. Now Goverment uses that to control everything.

Paypal use credit cards ;). Internationally is the only way to affiliate. if not, would need a bank account in USA

and credit cards are the only way available to us to buy on line.

I'm already on paypal thought!
