Well... I couldn't take it anymore - I needed to go for a cruise. I left my house in Queens this morning at 7am and cruised up to Bear Mtn. in upstate NY with a couple of friends - the roads were crap, there was snow in corners and the car was FILTHY when I got home but I have to say I enjoyed every one of the 223 miles I put on that car today! I say to hell with winter... drive the bastards!  :2thumbs:

... and no worries, the car has since been thoroughly washed both above and below and now sits covered in the garage with a fresh coat of winter wax! (that part sucked though )

C_stripes

Isn't that what it was built for?  Drive the wheels off of her
I'm smarter than I act, But I don't act smarter than I am.

I think both the Charger and you needed that tripp :icon_smile_big: Sadly my wintertripp ended worse, so to hell with the winter :D

Still love that car mike.....

Now that I've got a 68 I may need to pick your brain for some tips and tricks, I'm liking the idea of a pro street (pro tour?) style.
I know you overhaule the suspension, what did you go with?

Indiana does the same stupid thing, they put the same amount of salt and crap down for an inch of snow as they do for 25 inches it seems,  :brickwall: :brickwall:roads look white till april when the steady rains finaally wash away the salt

You're a brave man Mike.  My cars a wreck and I wouldn't take it through the salt.

TUFCAT

To me, its not worth the time you had to spend cleaning it up afterwards.....but, on the other hand, that's how they looked as new cars being enjoyed year round.  :2thumbs:

As long as you had a good time... go for it.  :coolgleamA:     Touchless automatic car washes do a decent job afterwards.

I thought about going around the block but I got over a foot of snow on the lawn and the roads are all messed up.

That was more fun than grocery shopping with the ol' lady like I did.

Nothing like driving a black big-block charger when there is snow on the ground.

My '69 was sold new in Alberta. Those Albertan salty road winters did alot of rust damage to the car and then when it came to B.C. and sat in the last owners yard, that didnt help it either. When my car is done, it'll stay inside during the winters :yesnod:

You sure?  You aren't that wierd neighbor everybody has that likes to cut his lawn at 7am on a Sunday morning and refuses to put candy out for the kids at Halloween (and not for religious reasons, just because he hates kids)?

10pm at night here in the summer, the neighbour mows his lawn. At 10pm in the summer, I was working on the Charger with the garage door open and Metallica cranked :icon_smile_big:
