Sold my charger - not a tough decision

Well, it finally sold.  The Scotlea General Lee sold for $85,000.  Had $70,000 in it, so okay profit.  Wasn't a tough decision, shouldn't have built a car that was too nice to drive everyday, plus I paid off my 2006 Ram, so that helped.  Time for the next project - a 69 charger speedster (topless that is).  Got one that's really rusted out, so figured get rid of roof, cowl vents, wipers, windows (except for windshield), build in some floor drains, use marine upholstery, and have something different.  I'll post rendering when I get them done.

You build very nice cars..  http://www.scotleaidolrods.com/gl14.htm   Congrats on the sale.

Speedster sounds intresting....    I can't find any pics of the old concept Supercharger but I know it still exists.

I am not really a big fan of GL´s, but this looks to be a very nice buildt car :2thumbs: Liked the way the air intake was done. :2thumbs:
Since we only live once, and all this is not just a dressed rehearsal, but the real thing............ Well, enjoy it!!!!

Congrats on the sale, been there done that, just sold my "beloved" 69 R/T for the exact same reason, but I gotta say I'm feeling better now that I picked up another Charger (68 this time)

Any idea on when you'll get started on the ragtop?

It went to Alabama!  Pics are here: www.scotleaidolrods.com/gl14.htm

Hope to get started on the speedster by summer.  I've seen a pic of the concept car Dodge built and that's where I got the idea.  Got to finish up the 3 chargers, 68 camaro, and 65 corvair in my shop right now first - or at least make some room.

That IS cool! (pun intended)

I've always liked the idea of the ramairboxes, but couldn't visualize a good way to route them.

I really like that car, it's got a few cool ideas that I don't see often...if ever. :2thumbs:
The red & black caps on the left fenderwell...are those battery jumper posts?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Yes, his battery is in the trunk. I have the same ones on my car.
