They could go back and get info like Dealer sold to or if it was a sales bank car or if it was ordered .

Even a copy of the IBM punch card for the car too. There was quite a bit of information on these cars at one time, and the first generation guys have the honor of still being able to get theirs.

The IBM cards were used to generate the broadcast sheets.  If you're lucky enough to get a copy of one of those (and be able to read it) you'll have everything that was on the broadcast sheet.

That said... My dad used to develope computer systems for Chrysler plant/engineering operations.  He used to bring home stacks of IBM cards for my sister and I to use for our entertainment.  The cards were used for many other aplications as well.  This was in the early '70s...
