Looking on Ebay I see people mention power and manual steering columns... Now, I've been a mechanic since the early 70's working on underground construction equipment, and also owning my own automotive repair shop for years and this is something new to me...  Is there really a difference???

Reason I ask is because my car is a 3 speed column shift with manual steering and I want to go to a floor shift auto with power steering. I know I can "Make it work", but I want it to at least look correct.

the shaft is longer on a manual steering column, but lucky for you the power ones are easier to find. :2thumbs:
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

I'll buy that... But for some reason I thought they all had extendable shafts.

Thanks!

:iagree:  I used a flaming river adapter on my power column to fit it to a manual steering box.
