I'm thinking of getting this cam from summit, I have mp 484 now. the suggested parts is this http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=LUN%2D60303LK&view=64&N=700+115. I can see changing the springs is a good idea because I don't know how old they are, but do I really need the retainers and the locks :shruggy: Can't I use my stock retainers and locks :shruggy:

                                                                                         Thanks, Alan

Thanks Ron, I thought I could reuse the locks and retainers. My 440 does have I think mp springs with the damper in the center but I'm not sure I should use them with the voodoo cam :shruggy: I also don't know how old the springs are so I don't know if I should use them or not  :shruggy: what do you think ? Buy the way this one of the cams you suggested for my build a wile back but, as always some thing came up and I didn't have the $$ to get it :rotz: I'm starting to get some stuff for my car in the next couple of months and this is one of them :2thumbs: Thanks for your help Alan

Alan, it's possible that the MP springs might work with the VooDoo cam but you would want to pull them and have them checked for seat/open pressure as well as coil bind specifications. Personally, i prefer to run a recommended spring from the cam manufacturer and then there is no guesswork involved.  :2thumbs:

That 268 grind will be a nice improvement over the 484 cam....i'm sure you will be quite pleased with the results.  :icon_smile_big:

Keep us posted on your progress  ;)
