I am a recovering alcoholic. I haven't drank in 19 years. Take my word for it, if you drink enough of anything you will get a hangover . Dehydration is what does it . I used to drink 2 or 3 wine coolers after a hard bout of drinking before bed. Then when I woke up , I would do hits of Medical oxygen.

I had a friend in college that was a volunteer firefighter.  His cure was to pop in a saline I.V. and breath oxygen for an hour when he woke up.  I stuck with slamming atleast a quart of water before I went to sleep.

My alchie ex wife swore by Absolut.    She's get all poop faced drinking a quart with some kind of seltzer and then wake up and go back to the liquor store when they opened in the morning for a fifth.

I used to drink rum and Cokes. Terrible hangovers from that mixture. Switched to Absolut Citron and water on the rocks - no hangover when drinking the same amount as the rum and Cokes. As an earlier poster said, you drink too much of anything you will get a hangover. The nice thing about the Absolut and water is you are hydrating as you drink!

Beeing  Swedish although living the past years in Belgium, I know Absolut and other Swedish Vodkamakers add
products that makes you puke? if you overconsume. The reason is that you can die from alchoholpoisoning if
you drink very much in ashort time. That product also influence your hangover. Otherwise I agree with most of you,
drink atleast the same amount of water as alcohol. Beeing in 2008 before you I can tell you it feels the same as 2007!
