You've heard of "Internet Time"? Well, three hours is something like 40 days in "Bronzy Time". :P It was actually closer to 2 hours 20 minutes (and 10 posts - which seems rather slow for the boy).  :nana:

What that you don't pay attention?  We noticed that 2 years ago.....we blame ourselves for your late diagnosis :rotz:

PS--the car is coming along nicely Larry

Wow, great pictures!  Kinda new here, I don't see to many 40 year old cars with that much steel.  How was the car originally when you got it?  Looks great.  :drool5:
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Charger-Bodie

So Larry did you get it primed then?? :shruggy:
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

Larry, are you going to spray it with poly surfacer or just regular primer surfacer? :shruggy:

Epoxy then poly- surfacer , then guide-coat black , sand until I remove my fingerprints , paint single stage orange , sand that , then paint three stage . I hope I'm not driving a Rascal or Lark when car is complete !!

My body man was thinking about putting the Lamborghini orange on a truck we are going to start tearing apart next weekend. He changed his mind its a 3 stage paint first of all and its extremely hard to shoot consistently, even from panel to panel. If you are shooting everything at the same time.  If you get a rock chip driving to the show it will be almost impossible to "blend the paint from if you only shoot that panel. Its an extremely difficult product to deal with. However in saying this a Daytona would look awesome with this color paint. I am not trying to sway you in any direction. I am just trying to give you the facts about this paint and the issues with it. I am just dont want you to be dissapointed with the end result.  It is an awesome color and is just gorgeous. Just my  :Twocents:.

daytonalo

For that reason we decided not to use House of Kolor because of level of complexity with their system . We are going to use BASF Lamborghini orange .

Larry

BigBlockSam

i think RUSTOLEUM  males a nice shade of that color. i think about 32 spray cans should do it.  :2thumbs:

I heard for years and Hot Rod [ Larry ] always told me that the window with their system is a nightmare , something about you have to have the the in between clear coats have to be stringy or it wont work

hotrod98

HOK uses an acrylic lacquer basecoat, a urethane midcoat and a tempermental clearcoat that has to be recoated while it's still stringy. If you wait until their clear is hand slick like other urethane clearcoats, you're screwed. Don't get me wrong, thousands of guys shoot the stuff all of the time, but I'll bet they screwed up the first few times they shot it. To me it's just not worth the trouble, not to mention the high cost.

My friend a professional painter well known in South Jersey and surrounding area , Scott Eller cam over to finish up a Mustang and brought a sample of Lamborghini 3 stage [ Basf] sprayed out on a Volvo S-40 door skin . This color is bad ass !!!!!!!!!!

Have you test-fitted the 275/60's on the front yet? I'm really interested in how that works out :scope:

Daytona R/T SE

I hope you're right Larry, But the notes I have from when that car was for sale show:

4 15X7 Mag 500's
275/60/15 Rear
255/60/15 front

:shruggy:

Either way I like the way that white car sits and that's the stance I'm going for...
