Sorry to see that. Nothing is an annoying as this.

I got done the same way on a 64 Belvedere 2dr. The guy gave me a price, the very next day I come back with money, and suddenly he no longer wants to sell it. I bet it's still sitting in the same spot in the woods with the rear glass shot out. :brickwall:

It's a good reminder to not approach someone about a car though without money in hand. That gives them no time to think it over or change their mind.

JON , what was the agreed price you were going to buy it for ? that way we could all Email this smuck and offer way less than what you were going to originaly pay . kind of a reverse scam .

my guees is the family member didnt pay squat for the car , he just found out grammy was seling the car and heard of a CHARGER selling for BIG $$$ and thought he struck gold .  :smilielol: my guess it that this is only worth $2500.00 - $3000.00 tops .

Jon is a kind of fastback saviour of the northwest so there's more to it than just moving on.  If the guy who has it now can't get the oilstrike he seems to want for it and decides to crush it or something, well, you get my point.  It's obviously just conjecture but at least with Jon there is no question the car would be saved just as he will continue saving other 1st gens.

I can't help but chuckle when people say they want their car restored , but they can't take the time to close the drivers door, or the decklid - like this car could have benifited from.
" i want it restored but I couldn't expend 4 calories in the last 10 years to roll up the window...."   :shruggy:

Well you wouldn't want the car to get that mildew smell if the windows were closed all those years, would you???

Is not family related but somekind similar... Now this jewel is out of the country. My version of story has one conclusion. If I can't restore it NOBODY AROUND ME will have it.
