both my rear rails are shot and  I was wondering are all replacements the same ex e bay paddock etc. I've found many sources to buy them but before I do I'd like to hear some feedback. Thanks

Troy

I don't think anyone reproduces the actual frame rail. I expect that most all of what you see on the market are "frame caps" produced by Auto Rust Technicians (A. R. T.). These are designed to go over you stock rail (or what's left of it) but I believe they can be used alone instead of the factory rail. Because of the design they definitely don't look stock. If you want factory rails you need to find some that have been cut off another 68-70 B-body (not necessarily a Charger). I found some a while back for another member - around $250 each I think.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

so are these worth while. i've seen some sites list them as caps and others call them frame rails. so do they work or should I get used ones from a junkyard.

I think Auto Metal Direct has them on their plan. autometaldirect.com

So have you used them? I'm asking for testimonials on products. I can find them. but i want to know if their worth while. thanks

No have´nt used them, but call Jeremy there, he can fill you in on the details. Would never used these you can slide over the old rusty ones. Get some that replaces them.
Fitment is easier to correct on the rails, than on bodyparts.
Good luck

I found a guy in North Dakota that junks B-Bodys and he has the most amazing cuts for a fair price.  His Name is Byron Fettig and his e-mail is byronsrt@msn.com  I got a torsion bar cross member, inner fenderwell and rear frame rails for my GTX.  All were really clean parts cut on the factory seams and fair shipping.

all very interesting BUT who has replaced their frame rails and where did they get them ???

My body guy just finished changing out my frame rails last week.  I was able to come up with a complete frame rail section from a donor car.  My body guy said everything went in very easily.
