Anyone know the original wiring wrap color?

I ran across some stuff that I think is very similar if not exactly like the stuff Chrysler used to wrap its wiring harnesses back in the day but I believe it's the wrong color. I say "believe" because I don't know the color of the original stuff other than what I pulled out of my car, and I seriously doubt it's the same color it was 40 years ago. Any ideas?

Thanks. I wonder is this stuff hard to find? My wife brought home some floral tape yesterday that looks and acts exactly like that non-adhesive wiring tape but I don't know if it comes in black.

Year One sell it... Paddock too... dunno if some more around, or locally

If I'm not mistaken there was 2 different kinds of tape used on the wires. And there are specific areas' that are taped, according to drawings. Then again who ever follows directions in a factory right?

Where is Geno to answer this one. I believe he knows the company who made the tapes.

Wasn't there a cloth tape for the head light harness and kind of a weaved cloth loom for the rear tail light harness.  There is also black plastic tape on some interior and engine compartment wire harness.

cloth tapes are to harnesses on floor areas I think, to prevent to cut with feets, trim or something similar, like luggage on trunk and make a short

To add confusion
I had an unrestored 1972 dodge charger and it had tan color on the wrapping for the underhood harness NOT black, it's not tape

black cloth or friction tape - with exception to battery cables - is used very little on a mopar

some taillight harness's use a canvas wrap to prevent shorts from loose trunk items

if you are not worried about 100% original covering, hockey tape works well and looks good too.

Pete ( wichargerguy ) got the same on his 72SE underhood harness, calif ( did it have speed control stuff ). Does look old and burn regular masking tape.
