I was talking to the Matco man and noticed a box in his truck. "Oh Yeah, that is a diecast Charger - want to see it?" he askes. DUH! My shop if full of Mopars and he has to ask? Well, I open the box and it is a '71 Super Bee in Sublime / Lime Light. I was pretty shocked at the detail in this car. I am sure there are mistakes, but the detail are great. I have over 100 diecast and have yet too see features like this. The undersdie of the trunk has the reinforcement panel and jack sticker. The trunk has a mat. The doors have stikers, latches and lock knobs. Interior details include fuzzy carpet, cloth seatbelts with chrome buckles, seats have stitching and slider knobs, chrome sill panels and a glove box that opens. The chassis is sprung (coils though) and the driveshaft turns with the rear wheels. Exterior features detailed decals, marker lenses (not painted), antenna moves, air grabber opens, separate chrome pieces for the door locks, handles, fender signals, hood pins and window trim. Uder the hood is a plumbed and wired Hemi with a detailed air grabber assembly, authentic hood hinges, realistic air filter and decals.

I missed the '68 that was released last year, but he says there will be a new one coming out soon.

WoW! That looks pretty cool!

They don't have it up on their website. :(

Is there a part number that one might be able to use to order one.  :P

Except for the MATCO plate, it looks an awful lot like the ERTL one I just received from one of the online diecast places.

You need to start an online 73 RR diecast petition and when you get a bunch of people signed on, fire it off to one of the custom makers like GMP.

Yup, like the R/T tail lights. But yes, it is real sharp.  :2thumbs:

This is a 1971 Dodge Charger Super Bee made by Racing Champions Authentics. I bought my from the Matco man for $89. The box does not have a part number, but it does say "2001 Authentic Muscle Car Series 10." I don't know if this is the 10th car or there are 10 cars total.

I found it on the MATCO site under "Clothing & Gear" - "MATCO Stuff"- "Motorsports Collectibles."

I can get one.  Does anyone want it??   If so.  I will get it next week.
I'm smarter than I act, But I don't act smarter than I am.

I wonder if Racing Champions supplies them for ERTL or vice versa because the ERTL box says "Authentics" on it too?  :shruggy:
