Saved mine just in time, bought it back in 86 for 350.00, I got there as he was walking the torches towards the car to cut it up to sell the parts to someone :rotz: :slap:

Got the 69 SE sunroof car I used to have through the old DC.com site. It was advertised in the cars for sale section. Then bought a 70 charger 500 SE with a sunroof through word of mouth. Sold both cars without even advertising them, and tried to buy my dads old 500. That deal fell through on a Monday, by that thursday I was on my way to Montana to purchase the 500 that I now own.

1st Charger: Base model '70 found on my school bus route when I was 14.
2nd Charger: '68 R/T found in the private wrecking yard of a friend of my dad when I was 17.
3rd Charger: '68 383/4spd found (after a long search) in a guy's side yard in Milwaukie, Oregon when I was 36.

They're getting a lot harder to find. You used to just run across them and although you still do once in a great while it doesn't happen very often.

BlueSS454

I heard about the Charger from a guy at a car show I was at with my Chevelle.  I got talking to him and he mentioned he knew a guy that wanted to get rid of his.  I went over, looked at it, and bought it.
The Blue Chevelle I got from my aunt's boyfirend, the green 69 I got via a local ad in the newspaper, my 70 Malibu convertible I got a call from a friend of mine in Maryland, I called the owner and drove down the next day and bought it.
I've been given about 10 cars total (75 Maverick, 71 Firebird, 71 Chevelle, 73 nova, 74 Nova).  I had a 77 Ford F250 bought from a township auction, same with the 86 Cutlass I use everyday.  I bought 2 cars out of junkyards for parts (86 Cutlass and 70 El Camino).  I bought 3 68 Chevelles from an estate sale to flip, still have 1 left to get rid of.  I bought a 67 Chevelle that I saw in a guys yard around the corner and another 70 Chevelle the same way.  I've about lost track of how many cars I've actually had.

rav440

i started looking in feb of 1999 for a 71 440+6 4 spd runner or GTX i looked and looked for over a year the started broadining my search to a 72 rr/ GTX 6pak out the window at this point  ::) after months with no luck i stated looking into the 73-74 runners now the 4spd was out the window  :o i came across an ad for a black 1973 rr 440 matching #s car from MEDINA OH. for $7500.00 in the winter of 2000 so i called the guy the first question i asked him was " is this a column shift auto ? " he said "YES " my reply was " thanks thats all i needed to know and theres no reason to waste anymore of your time " he tells me to hold on givis me a little history of the car and asks if he can Email me photos , then we just started BSn about MOPARs for awhile and got off the runner subject .
well months go by and i started looking at other MOPARs - DUSTERS BARRACUDAS ect , i find a 67 FORMULA S 383 4spd BARRACUDA for $4500.00 i needed work and i wasnt to sure if i realy wanted to get into what it needed . so in june of 2001 i call AL the guy from MEDINA OH he deals in MOPARs i ask him to keep his eyes open for a 70-71 CUDA BB car he asks me if i ever got the pics of the 73 runner , i told yes but i wasnt interested because it had a column shifter , so once again we start BSn about MOPARs , i tell him i found a 67 FORMULA S 383 4spd BARRACUDA but i wasnt interested in it , he says "ive always wanted on of them " so i give him the # of the guy who owned it .
about a week or so goes by . AL calls me yup and says " do you have any interest in the 73 runner at all ? "
i told him " NO" he says " LOOK ,, i just bought the BARRACUDA and the 71 DUSTER drag car that guy had , ihave to trailer them back to MEDINA . so if you want ill trailer the runner out so you can at least toake a look at it plus ill make you a hell of a deal coz your the only person who called about it in the 5 months ive had it listed in the AUTOTRADER . "
" why not , bring it out i look at it  :shruggy: "
AL calls  me from a parking lot up the road from me " come and look at the runner "
so i jump in my pontiac and go to meet ,,, him i didnt even get off the highway into the parking lot and i knew she was mine  :smilielol:
so i dint get my 6 pak not even a 4spd just a lowely colum shiter car . but its mine and i love it  :2thumbs:
boy was my wife pissed when i brought it home  :flame:
the whole time she thought i was going to get a 67-69 camaro  :smilielol: :smilielol:

I found my 68 charger in a shed under two taros and sitting on plywood 5 years ago.Parked since 83 still had the old kelly springfields on it 45000 original miles,no cracks in the steering wheels original hub caps and the windshield was mint not to say the rest of the car

suntech

I got my 68 on ebay. I was looking around for a while, and was kinda looking more towards a rolling body / project, since what i want to do is build a pro touring car.
But i wised up ( at least in my opinion), and bought a driver, and happy that i did. Nice to drive it, and familiarize with it, before i tear it apart. I drove it from Chicago to Reading PA this summer.  :2thumbs:I am in Norway, and the car is still in US, and i am ordering parts, to go in the container with it. :Twocents: :Twocents: :Twocents: :Twocents: :Twocents:
Since we only live once, and all this is not just a dressed rehearsal, but the real thing............ Well, enjoy it!!!!

TruckDriver

Lee, that is one nice looking '68 :yesnod: :drool5: :2thumbs: LOVE the slotted wheels!

Challenger_7

If you really must know, here goes ;)

All four Challengers, 72 Charger, 73 Plymouth, 74 Formula and 74 Corvette I found in Beirut (Lebanon - Middle East) at a dealer who wanted out, 2 years ago.
The 72 Trans Am found in the south of Lebanon from a private owner who had his eyes on another car, also 2 years ago.
The 79 Trans Am same as above but found in the North of Lebanon and the guy wanted to leave the country, last year.
The Camaro belonged to my upholstry shop owner who also needed the money, last year.
The Mach1 I found in Sweden 32 years ago (1975) when I was on holiday, and have kept it since then, it was only 2 years old.
The Desoto I found in Cedars Town (Atlanta) during a holiday trip about 15 years ago. Whilst it might not be considered a muscle car, but it does have a 330 Hemi engine :yesnod:
Hope you enjoy the photos ;D

moparstuart

got my 69 from a member here on the board ,who live a mile from my house.
GO SELL CRAZY SOMEWHERE ELSE WE ARE ALL STOCKED UP HERE

Ghoste

Mine were mainly found through local classified ads.  The exceptions would be the AAR, it belonged to the brother of a guy I went to college with.  The Road Runner and Coronet 500 were both sitting in service station lots near my home and one Charger had belonged to a close friend.

supserdave

69 charger SE and our 69 Super Bee came from a guy in SW Minnesota. Found a poorly written classified add on another mopar forum and hit a gold mine.
73 challenger, a buddy of mines kid had it, I told him if he ever needed cash and wanted to sell, to give us a call, he called me two years later on a Sunday and it was in the garage on Monday.
69 RT/SE Our dad bought it back in the late 70's and sold it in 84 to a guy that collects mopars. We ended up buying it back last year.
71 SE Charger Uncles old car that we got in 2000 or so.
